  1. If we get that much back in our coffers I'll be the first one to request a Miggy Appreciation Day.

    Alexander Isak

Honestly it annoys the fuck out of me that players like Isak would most probably love to sign a new contract for life here if we were able to match the wages of the super league cartel clubs. We have the money to pay those wages as well. The whole system is rigged and needs to be ripped asap.
  3. They might as well, that's what non-cartel clubs are there for.

    Jamal Lewis

We really did sign some duffers in the Ashley days.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Might be slightly overreacting, but I think we might have another in Tonali.
  6. Blokes don't tend to wear make up though. Although I suppose you could make an argument they should.
  7. And they've landed themselves huge pay packets on the back of one wonder season.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

So would I because I truly believe the only thing standing between us and a place in the CL is a quality back up striker.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

The main thing he'd offer is an alternative if Isak is out injured. Because Osula is clearly not considered good enough to be thrown in yet.
  10. He's never wanted a move tbf. He got everything he wanted right here.
  11. Can't remember many festive set of fixtures where I've been as happy with the outcomes as this year. It's been a Christmas cracker!
  12. I said in the match thread at half time that his main contribution seemed to be as a body on the pitch. Personally think he's had his purple patch and has dropped off in the last couple of games, but despite his football being a bit clumsy at times, he can still strike a ball really well. Not the worst option to have.
  13. I went back to check what all the fuss was about, and she looks pretty decent without make up tbf. But she'd look pretty smoking dolled up tbf.
  14. I sort of lost any sentimentality as he's stuck around and refused a lucrative move to Saudi. Yes I know he's well within his rights, but that's the point. He has rights to stick to his contract, we likewise don't owe him anything once he's run it down. Like I said, a good player for us down the years, one of my favourites for a while actually. I actually hope he goes to an MLS club this summer and we can get some sort of half decent fee, and he gets the move he wants. Best scenario all round.
  15. Not really arsed where he ends up once his contract runs out tbh. He's been a good servant and never let us down. He also got well paid for it and being at Newcastle has set him up for life, so we've done alright by him as well. Would have been nice if we'd got big wedge for him last summer, but not to be.

    Lloyd Kelly

He's our player, we signed him for just such emergencies. It might not be his preferred side, but if Dan. Burn and Krafth can switch from full back to centre half and back, then I think Kelly can manage playing as a right sided CB. I'm backing big Lloyd to come good against Spurs with a MOTM performance.
  17. A tad premature while the sort of clubs looking to sign him are hoping he'll agree wages of £120/week.

    Alexander Isak

Your club downplayed them without any input from us when they sacked Ten Hag pretty unceremoniously.
  19. You can get defenders switching off, and midfielders tbh. It's not possible to always be at 100%, but we are in a run of great form so long may it continue.
  20. My only worry is complacency. I was worried about that yesterday, but our opening spell blew them away. Spurs are very leaky, but they are still a dangerous team and they outplayed us at St James despite the result. Obviously we are a different prospect right now, but they are still scoring goals, so we have to defend well whatever else we do. A point would normally be a good result, but imagine taking 6 points from away games at Old Trafford and Spurs. It would totally wipe out the shitty results against West Ham and Brentford.

    Alexander Isak

Agreed. While obviously the aim is to win stuff eventually, being able to enjoy your team's football, being proud of them as ambassadors for the city, and just looking forward to the next game in anticipation matters so much more. The ride since the PIF takeover and Howe's leadership has been like living on fantasy island in many ways. I would never swap that for a couple of trophies that Ten Hag won during such an era of misery for Man U fans. Can't blame Froggy for trying though.
  22. That takes some doing seeing as he looked about 35 when he was a 17 year old.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

I just think it's extremely difficult to get a PL ready striker good to go. I think given we are relying so heavily on Isak staying fit, I wouldn't be that surprised if we make a move for DCL. But tbh, it would only make sense for this season, by the summer we'll be looking more long term.
