Eventually having more money to spend on resources results in more success. That's precisely why the cartel clubs have fought so hard to make sure only they get to spend their resources. Yes if things keep going well I agree. If we get CL he will definitely sign a new deal, don't think he would want to be anywhere else playing his football everything else being equal. I just find it very annoying that the game is rigged in such a way that clubs like ours are incentivised to fail by selling our best players unless we can somehow keep getting CL football.

Honestly it annoys the fuck out of me that players like Isak would most probably love to sign a new contract for life here if we were able to match the wages of the super league cartel clubs. We have the money to pay those wages as well. The whole system is rigged and needs to be ripped asap.

I said in the match thread at half time that his main contribution seemed to be as a body on the pitch. Personally think he's had his purple patch and has dropped off in the last couple of games, but despite his football being a bit clumsy at times, he can still strike a ball really well. Not the worst option to have.

I sort of lost any sentimentality as he's stuck around and refused a lucrative move to Saudi. Yes I know he's well within his rights, but that's the point.
