They've played into our hands a bit by pushing so many men forward. Thought that might happen before the game but thought they might have hurt us more. We've defended very well.
-
Can't tell if Bruno is still struggling or that's just him lacking general mobility.
-
Wissa is terrorising them
-
I thought so. Bit unlucky for me.
-
Tonali looking ON it.
-
Give that ref a knighthood.
-
Tonali looking sharper tonight.
-
Really looking forward to this, they are going to come here to play so should be two teams going at it.
-
Shola looking in great nick out there tbf. He's looked after himself.
-
Trippier did well on the weekend for me. He might want Tonali in there to get after them and press them to oblivion.
-
Quite happy to see Wissa in tonight. I hope I don't regret saying it.
-
Probably shouldn't be by now.

Still a great option to have on the bench if we just want someone to shake the opposition up a bit. And who knows, maybe even score a goal.

I'm usually not the biggest fan of Murphy because he can't carry the ball well, but he was crossing the ball brilliantly in his last outing and the one where Wissa had it teed up to him on a plate was perfect. That was the first time I really felt any pangs of missing Isak.

Feels like it could be a great game tbh, they don't seem like the type of team to shut up shop, and we'll be going at them. Hope we find our shooting boots and we can show them our best version.

I don't think home or away will be the biggest factor against them. In some ways we might find it easier to play against a team which is more attack minded than the low block PL teams which lock up our attacking options without too much problem. The problem is, the top level CL sides have run rings round our press with their passing, and I imagine it will be more of the same when we play PSG.

Agree with this. I don't know how Germany use him, but I don't really understand how he can be coming from deep and playing as a target man at the same time. It looks like Howe is trying to use him as a lone striker but he's more suited to being a number 10.
-
Thought he looked good against Wolves. Might not have been much of a test but it's another stepping stone for him to get back to his best.
-
Honestly even the play-offs should be something to look forward to. The Carabao cup is more or less gone, the FA Cup is another tough one, the CL qualification looks unlikely. I want to give the play-offs everything we've got, don't really understand why people wouldn't be looking forward to it.

Not much riding on it? Don't we pretty much need a win for a decent shot at getting through to the next stage?
-
It won't be this window, but in the next window, would be nice if we can target a midfielder or striker who can strike the ball cleanly. One who specialises in direct free kicks would be even better. Now I feel like we never appreciated how good we had it when we had Nobby, Shearer and Robert fighting over the dead balls 25yds out.

Thought it was a bit of a cheek that he was reluctant to come back if we recalled him. Just refuse our cut of the wages then Matt. I'm sure you can get by on boro's wage cap.
-
I thought he did pretty well. With Livramento out for two months, he can still play an important part.

I don't think we needed to play our strongest team so I disagree on that point. Our whole identity is based on high intensity, so I just think we should have rotated bearing that in mind. Ramsey and Elanga should have started in my view. If we play our strongest team against the bottom side, then we really needed to win to justify it.

International football isn't the same as the PL where big CB's are climbing all over you.
