Wilson should essentially be third choice CF and used exclusively as an impact substitute. He'd be excellent in that role and can't be trusted in any other one. Not sure whether he earns too much for that to be decent value for money for us but it'd be great if he could be.
-
Reckon if you put him in Bruno's position with something close to our strongest eleven otherwise he'd very much hold his own. Tend to agree that the best thing for him would probably be a year on loan somewhere but it's a bit like the situation with Elliot Anderson last summer. And in retrospect possibly even Minteh. We just don't have the squad depth to send players away yet.

Christ Froggy, this is grim even for you.

One of those games that we're best served just pretending never happened and moving on. Exceptional circumstances today that are unlikely to be repeated often of at all in the coming years. Pretend it never happened, commit to being positive and try to get everyone rested and ready to go after the two weeks.

I'd say these are possibly Willock's and Joelinton's worst performances for us in the Howe era? Anyone else?
-
Livramento being the best player on the pitch every time he plays RB but sticking him at LB so Tripps can continue his recent bad form seems is infuriating.
-
Fucking shite goal that, what an awful game.
-
Fuck me this is bleak enough, knew when the window closed we were pretty light on numbers but we've been punished far worse than could have been reasonably expected. Just need to spawn a shitty 1-0 out of this and get to the international break with some positive vibes.
-
Good half that IMO, we look sharp.
-
Ritchie man, what a shit pass to Trippier that was.
-
Willock has been mystifyingly bad like, looks shocked every time the ball comes near him. Miley looks really good.
-
Ritchie RW and Joelinton CF is quite the sight for a CL chasing team
-
I know he's the most well suited to playing CF with Isak and Wilson out, but I can't help but wonder if playing Gordon out of position might be a mistake. Get him out wide where he can do some damage. He's been out best front three player all year, get him where he can do the most damage. Throw Joelinton up top.
-
So yeah, lots of great LW options out there to buy is the point

Stop liking my posts and answer my PMs @Deuce you cunt.

Frankly, we've seen pretty clearly this season that if we're going to really challenge on all fronts then having two quality options in each position is a must. Particularly true with the way we play, too. I'm confident Barnes will be a very good player for us but for a team aiming to challenge at the very top Gordon being starter and Barnes being the sub who can start when Gordon needs a rest is probably pretty realistic.
-
Aye, and frankly it would be ideal if Gordon's best position turned out to be RW. Clear that LW space for Kvaratskhelia in the summer.

Champions League 2023/2024: Group F (Newcastle, Milan, Dortmund, PSG)
Shak replied to Marko NUFC's topic in Football
Aye, it's logical and practical as hell but "I hope we fail so we can have a better chance in a lesser competition" is a pretty miserable outlook to have IMO -
Milan winning would be class IMO. Would be fucking immense going to Paris with a chance to blow the group right back open.
-
I do hope that "made of biscuits" can become the commonly accepted forum vernacular for an injury prone player.
-
Two strikers and someone like Gordon as the emergency would be fine if one (maybe both?) of them wasn't (weren't?) made out of biscuits. We very clearly needed another wide man in the summer window and not adding one was a massive risk. Seems to have caught up on us, sadly.
-
Has he started a match and not been our best player in the game yet? I'd lean towards starting him at RB and Trippier LB from now on tbh.
-
It's so fucking weird having a manager who when he does some weird ass shit like this I just feel confident that it's because he knows far more than I do
-
Ange should put on a dodgy Spanish accent and do a pisstake of the Arteta press conference.
