  1. Willock has been mystifyingly bad like, looks shocked every time the ball comes near him. Miley looks really good.
  2. Ritchie RW and Joelinton CF is quite the sight for a CL chasing team
  3. I know he's the most well suited to playing CF with Isak and Wilson out, but I can't help but wonder if playing Gordon out of position might be a mistake. Get him out wide where he can do some damage. He's been out best front three player all year, get him where he can do the most damage. Throw Joelinton up top.

    Harvey Barnes

So yeah, lots of great LW options out there to buy is the point

Frankly, we've seen pretty clearly this season that if we're going to really challenge on all fronts then having two quality options in each position is a must. Particularly true with the way we play, too. I'm confident Barnes will be a very good player for us but for a team aiming to challenge at the very top Gordon being starter and Barnes being the sub who can start when Gordon needs a rest is probably pretty realistic.

    Kvats for me, like.

Aye, and frankly it would be ideal if Gordon's best position turned out to be RW. Clear that LW space for Kvaratskhelia in the summer.
  9. Aye, it's logical and practical as hell but "I hope we fail so we can have a better chance in a lesser competition" is a pretty miserable outlook to have IMO
  10. Milan winning would be class IMO. Would be fucking immense going to Paris with a chance to blow the group right back open.
  11. I do hope that "made of biscuits" can become the commonly accepted forum vernacular for an injury prone player.
  12. Two strikers and someone like Gordon as the emergency would be fine if one (maybe both?) of them wasn't (weren't?) made out of biscuits. We very clearly needed another wide man in the summer window and not adding one was a massive risk. Seems to have caught up on us, sadly.

    Tino Livramento

Has he started a match and not been our best player in the game yet? I'd lean towards starting him at RB and Trippier LB from now on tbh.
  14. It's so fucking weird having a manager who when he does some weird ass shit like this I just feel confident that it's because he knows far more than I do
  15. Ange should put on a dodgy Spanish accent and do a pisstake of the Arteta press conference.
  16. As a couple have mentioned, would be very tempted to start Gordon central with Joelinton on the left and Miggy out right. Longstaff, Bruno and Willock in midfield. Feels like if Wilson starts we don't really have great options to change it up off the bench.

Trippier could very easily offer everything that Burn does at LB IMO. Only thing we lose is Burn's height.

It's going to be interesting to see what Howe does if Tino keeps looking this fucking good every time he steps on the pitch. Suppose it depends on how long we think Trippier is going to be able to sustain his level of play. He's just turned 33. Trippier moving to LB and Hall being his long term successor makes a lot of sense, as Hall isn't as ready as Livramento. Of course we also have Burn in the meantime who's proven he can do a good job when needed. Also playing LB will be less physically demanding for Trippier with the way we set up so it might allow him to stay in the team longer.
  19. If he develops a ruthless streak in front of goal then the sky really is the limit for him. Great to see him getting some goals this season, it's got to be great for his confidence in that regard. He still doesn't look super confident to me when he gets into good goalscoring positions, compared to the rest of his game at least. If he can add that ability to his game, that ability to just create a half yard of space and get a good shot away from a half chance he's going to be some player.

    Fabian Schär

I really think we should extend him and push a new big money CB signing down the road a couple of years. He's absolutely immense and the jersey should be his until he drops off. Given Lascelles recent form... I'd be half tempted to extend him too. Spunk the entire budget next summer on midfield and front line improvements. Top class winger, top class CM. Maybe go out and buy a top class teenage CB, if we're gonna do anything there.
  21. Dunno, feel like Gabriel is about to jump and header and Joe pushes his head down like a cheap whore's.
  22. I know it won't be popular... But I think it's a pretty clear foul by Joelinton. Delighted we got away with it

    Tino Livramento

Consistently looks like one of our best players whenever he gets on the pitch. Gonna be hard to keep leaving him out. Saw today that Trippier can more than do Burn's job at LB, while also providing us with far more quality on the ball in tight spaces. No reason that Trippier at LB and Livramento at RB shouldn't become a pretty common lineup for us.
  24. Wouldn't mind seeing Willock on for Almiron. Gordon out right and get the Joe n' Joe connection going.
  25. It'll be infuriating if they turn the corner and Ten Haag becomes the manager people thought he was gonna be for them
