Really hoping that when we have a proper LB in there that Keegan tries Jonas on the right and N'Zogbia on the left for a couple of games. Potentially our best wing pairing by a long way, but only if Zoggy actually takes the chance and performs like I believe he can.
-
I reckon Mike is right, it's Aguero.

Was a tough game by the sound of things. Bolton set out for a 0-0 and with our lack of real attacking quality in CM it was always likely to be a tough afternoon. Thankfully we took one of our few chances, delighted. We need a bit more quality in CM though, Butt and Guthrie are fine and good away from home to teams like Man U but for games like this we need someone with a bit more about them.

Christ, it'd be a kick in the balls conceeding now.

He must really not trust Enrique at all.
-
Bring on Enrique for Duff. Play Zoggy down the left, Jonas down the right and Milner just off Martins. Then Owen on for Milner whenever he's ready.
-
Succeeding? He's sold them a good dummy but has been quiet according to the radio. They've got two men on him. Should open things up for Milner down the other side. If only he wasn't shite.
-
Don't see N'Zogbia as a CM really. Too erratic, loses the ball much too much. Capable of some bits of quality though, out wide is really the spot for him.
-
Would love to see him playing for us, swapping him for Milner and making a loss of less than 5m on the exchange would be great business. Alternatively, could see him being bought as a striker and think he's got the game to excel there too. I'd imagine he's on ridiculous wages at Chelsea though, so I think he'd have to take a paycut to come, or maybe Chelsea will pay a % of his wages?
-
Andy Reid is probably our best CM at this point in time, you cunts.
-
Course he'd rather stay at Madrid, who wouldn't? Still reckon we'd have a decent chance of getting him if we really pursued it, whether we are after him or not is anyone's guess. As I said about 5 pages ago I think he'd be a great acquisition, but we'd need to bring in a quality CM to go with him, someone who can give the likes of Owen, Martins and Saviola the quality service to feet that they would thrive on. It'd be an exciting move going for him rather than a Viduka type, as it'd be a pretty clear statement of intent from KK that we're looking to play the ball on the deck as much as possible, which I'm all for.
-
It was odd that KK swapped Enrique and Zog at the last minute before Valencia. Didn't know that, but it does lend itself to the notion that there's more to it than just match fitness issues with Enrique. It'll be interesting to see what does happen with the LB spot between now and the end of the month, honestly haven't a notion what's going on.
-
Got to wonder what's the story with Enrique if there's any legs in this. Attitude issues? KK just doesn't fancy him?
-
Yeah, definitely. Silvestre's a better left back than him, but I'd much rather have O'Shea in the squad. He's not ManU standard but he'd do a very good job for a team lower in the league. I think his main flaw is that he doesn't know his best position. Certainly doesn't make anywhere near as many mistakes as Silvestre. What would be the thinking behind you bringing Silvestre in? Loaning out Traore? O'Shea is dog shit. Yeah, I'd have to agree with this. Absolutely useless, wouldn't take him at Newcastle even on a free with no wages.

The problem with Robert was that on his off-days he was truly useless, almost a hindrance to the team, and contributed almost nothing positive whatsoever. That said, he was great for 3 or 4 years and was one of the primary reasons we got ourselves back into the Top 4 for a time under Bobby. His ability to either score or set up a goal from absolutely nothing won us countless games that would otherwise have been drawsagainst the mid-table clubs at that time and elevated us above them, and he was no doubt a very good signing for us. Always found him to be a real disappointment in bigger games though. Against the best sides you can't afford passengers, which Robert often was, and that's a real negative mark against him for me.

Fabio Zamblera better turn out good. You can't stop Fabio Zamblera You can't stop Fabio Zamblera era, era, era, eh , eh Fabio Zamblera. (Rianna - Umbrella)

He'd be a fantastic signing, but only if we can get ourselves an extremely good deep lying playmaker that'll enable us to play the vast majority of our football on the deck, because we can't be playing direct, hopeful balls to any combination of those two and expect to get results. Give them good service into feet however, and it's a different matter. Any two of Jonas, Milner, Zoggy and Duff on the wings and two of Martins, Owen and Saviola up front could produce some fantastic pass and move stuff, and would be the type of thing I'd love to see at St. James'. But it'll only work if we've got 2 central midfielders who are very confident, accurate passers of the ball as well as very industrious without it.
-
Butt played just as big a part tbh, was probably better in his role than Geremi. Either way, neither is much better than the other as far as I can see.
-
Was there really any need to type out the entire team again?
-
pre, last and previous Pre-natal as well probably, the little cunt.
-
I'd start Milner over Duff and keep the rest of Yorkie's team. I reckon it'll be Jonas on the left, Milner on the right and Duff just off Oba though.
-
No excuse for starting him as far as I can see. We've got Martins to play up top and we can use either Duff or Milner playing just off, so barring a rash of late injuries starting Smith would be a terrible decision, given how poor he's been in pre-season.
