My interpretation is that (excluding when we go 5 at the back) Botman is ahead of Thiaw in the pecking order, but Eddie doesn't want to play Burn and Botman together at CB. And given the recent Fullback injury woes, this gives him another way of including Thiaw, who has been decent in his appearances so far. Should be interesting to see what happens at the weekend re: Schar. My prediction is that we end up back at Hall/Burn/Schar/Trips.

Do people call Harry Kane a number 10? IDK what the craic is with everyone trying to define him, but so far for me he's played like a pretty standard ball playing target man, more old-school striker. Dropping deep to hold the ball up to start the attack and then getting in the box when needed. My only criticism of him so far is that he needs lessons from Gordon & Bruno on when to go to ground, because he's not going to get given anything until he starts diving after getting shoved in the back. Needs to wisen up.

But it appears he was holding his left leg, not the leg that jarred on the ground. I'm naively hoping the impact on his previously knackered knee caused some minor injury rather than it being a full ACLer.

Emery loved dropping Watkins when Jhon Duran was around. Lad loves a rotation and a 59 minute sub. I think Rogers and maybe Konsa are the only players who have avoided the rotation-hammer.

Just got the terrace tracky. Wanted the drill top but fate wouldn’t allow it. Anyway, am a fan. It’s pretty thick and heavy for a tracky top, feels good man. Feels like I’ll get more use out of it than a normal tracky top.

I can survive rotation, but the 5 at the back is not my favourite and my current opinion as to Joe Willock’s usefulness is at an all time low, so this doesn’t bring me joy.

I know people wish for his death/career ending injury, but I’m more of the mindset that the best scenario is that he is relentlessly half-fit, scoring intermittently and causing arguments over whether he should be in the first team or not, with Ekitike in the wings. Prolonged mediocrity is what I’m hoping for. If he’s broken or uber shit then they’ll just replace him, which is nee good.
