He did have a somewhat strong finish to the season so the only thing Carroll can do is to train hard and build on it. But if he's not in the manager's plans, then he should really move on to pastures new.

Bigirimana is still young though so we could yet concentrate our efforts into developing him into a DM - certainly has the attributes to be one. What's that based on? As some people have already mentioned, the fact that he's able to cover DM and RB/LB can only be a good thing. An improvement on Raylor, if you will. The £8 million fee is a bit too steep though. Wait and see on this one methinks, this rumour won't be going away any time soon.

He bought in Zamblera or whatever he is called as well didn't he, apparently on very big wages for a kid too. Had great finishing stats on FM09. Always signed him on loan whenever I was managing a Football League club.

where's the 5miilion tag came from ? i'd wrap him up and take him there myself even if we didn't have a replacement lined up. he's not as bad as many make out but 5million is at least 2million too much. It's a rumoured fee from Twitter (so mostly likely bollocks).

Got to say, if we do get offered £5 million, then that is a more than a decent price. Would be disappointed to see him leave but ultimately if we want to move forward/progress then Simpson shouldn't be the first choice RB. Best of luck to him if he does move, I reckon he'll be a decent signing for Reading.

I've been convinced for a while that he's staying. Can see no reason why he would leave, footballing reasons-wise.
