  1. Ha, I used to do that too. We then got a new TV where you could use the the remote to skip between pages on Teletext - great times. (I was an impatient lad back then).

Well, in the past, his attitude did really stink. But these days, the lad himself has said he feels more mature and is more reflective. He now understands that there will be times when things won't go his way and he knows that if he keeps working hard, he'll get a chance. When he got injured from that horrific leg break and spent almost a year on the sidelines, it really gave him time to think about how he's conducted himself in the past and I think he realises that he should conduct himself in a different manner now.

His FIFA playing rules are weird to say the least

Tbf to Oba, he did more than Owen. If only Martins had a footballing brain..... He took a penalty with his RIGHT(wrong) foot in a crucial game and missed it, don't think i can let this go easily.. It probably would have changed the outcome of the game (it was still 0-0 iirc against Arsenal at St. James') but he still managed to score in that game (was the equaliser). But yes, there is the argument that if we had scored first, then we probably would have come out with a decent result. Alas wasn't to be. Mind you, I knew after that game that we were going down.
  5. One thing I always used to do after coming home from school was check page 390, Regional Sport, to keep up to date on the NUFC news.
  6. It's actually a lyric from an Arctic Monkeys' song but he must have a reason for using it..... You do make a good point in your following sentence though.

    Papiss Cissé

Palace away I was at that game, Kluivert scored a cheeky flick goal in the box?

    Thought I'd repost this:
  9. Wilkins The uncertainty itself is more than enough to strip Terry of the England captaincy. I've said this before, it actually does reflect badly on English football for an England captain who is accused of being racially abusive to lead out a team at an International Tournament.

@lee_ryder Lee Ryder Given James Milner has swallowed the FA's how to talk to the media guide , they might make him a candidate #focusoneachgameasitcomes

Don't you mean "penalties we've won"?

Name me another good candidate. As much as I don't like him, Gerrard is an option (as is Lampard I reckon). Though Parker has matured a lot since his last long-term stint as captain.....

People on Twitter want Scott Parker to be the new England captain

    Ryan Taylor

Think my hate of Larsson clouded my judgement a bit above. Like I said on the previous page that Raylor is limited in terms of his general play which is why he shouldn't be a starter. Thinking about it, Larsson's general play is actually better. (Would still rather have Raylor in the squad over Larsson though).

  16. Wooop 2 more days before we see Ba back in action and hopefully Cissé in action for the first time

    Ryan Taylor

Well Larsson's an absolute cunt whereas Raylor is not. In terms of footballing ability, I'd take Raylor over Larsson any day.
