  1. Seriously should be starting games by now. Time to ease him in (or even better, start him!).

    Steven Taylor

Absolutely gutted for the lad. He has been one of main reasons why our defence has been so solid so far this season. He'll be a massive miss. Williamson is more than good cover for Taylor though. The sooner Willo is fit, the better really. Get well soon Steven.
  3. Our MOTM today. Solid as always, that penalty save was great.
  4. I don't understand your last sentence, but I very much agree with the sentiment of your third. I'll take a couple of defeats over the next couple of weeks gladly if it gives him sufficient time to actually recuperate, and not risk sustaining a longer term injury to make up for the short-sightedness of Ashley/Llambias/Pardew. Hmmm yeah, my last sentence doesn't make much sense Said that to reassure myself that the injury wasn't too serious, missed Toontastic's post above about a thigh injury being confirmed by Pardew.

    Danny Guthrie

Guthrie was one of our better players today I thought. It's good to see him being consistent performance-wise. Long may it continue while he's in the side. As harsh as it is though, I'd bring Tiote back in. Him and Cabaye in the middle today was probably one of the reasons why Mata and Lampard struggled today.
  6. So fucking frustrating today. His end product was terrible. Was he shit scared of Ashley Cole? A few decent forward runs but nothing came out of them.

    Peter Løvenkrands

Did decent enough today, a few decent forward runs. Much better than expected but the lack of protection for Raylor was very evident from the amount of space Sturridge kept getting.
  8. A draw would be very nice here. Norwich have done well at home recently and they do play some decent football. Will be a close game I think (especially with the lack of Colo and Saylor).
  9. Can't believe Luiz wasn't sent off today. Mike Dean completely bottled it. Prick.

    Ryan Taylor

Pitiful in the first half. Sturridge completely raped him. Slightly better in the second half though. But like I've said before, time to ease him out and ease Santon in.

    Harry Redknapp

Ha, same old Harry, always tapping up.....
  12. Hope he isn't out for too long. One of our important players so the sooner he's back the better. That said, give him as much time to recuperate tbh, don't really want to rush him back if there's a risk of aggravating his injury. Some of the posts on here have put me at ease like.

    James Perch

He did alright. Of course, he was at fault for their first goal but after that he was pretty solid against Drogba/Torres tbh.
  14. Just got in. We didn't deserve to lose by that 3-0 scoreline like. What I can say is we gave 100% to the cause, the lack of cutting edge from either wing was worrying mind (bar Lovenkrands' run). Our left wing was completely exposed in the first half, Sturridge pretty much destroyed Raylor on every occasion. Raylor did better in the second half though. What was also encouraging was the centre of midfield. The fact that I don't remember Lampard and Mata doing much speaks volumes. Oh, David Luiz should have got sent off, the ref (prick) completely bottled it. Still can't believe that he only got a yellow card. Stand-out players were Krul, Saylor and Guthrie. Hope the injury to Coloccini isn't too serious, not looking good for Saylor
  15. Beautiful. Thanks midds, catmag!
  16. He was my captain last week too. Guess I'm anticipating some sort of wonder goal

    Sunderland...

    And so it begins.....
  18. That isn't worth thinking. In any case, I reckon Pardew is more than likely to start Sammy on the left wing before Lovenkrands. (though we may actually see Lovenkrands at some point tomorrow actually )

    Sunderland...

Aye, as long as they get to brag about being the "NETD", that'll do them. No pressure about long term progression and all that.
  20. Same but £4 million for a player out of contract come the end of the season is a bit too much like. Won't he be allowed to talk to other clubs in January in any case or am I thinking of FM again...... Not sure British clubs can. Ah right. Well, I reckon that at most we should be looking to offer £2 million in any case. 2mill fee, 1mill agent, 1mill signing on fee.......hey that 4mill was correct in a way. Ha, in a way aye.
