    Kanoute

WE definately need a 3rd quality striker in the side as cover for owen and viduka. I think that viduka can only be relied on to play 70% of the season at most. Personally i doubt that owen and martins will be a good pairing in the premiership. Both are probably better alongside a tall striker with physical presence; and there still no guarantee that mickey will be on tyneside for the whole season. Kanoute is a very skillful player with decent finish. His finishing and movement against spurs and in uefa cup final proves he would be an asset. Think he may not settle here, but hes a short term fix till we are rolling in champ L money.

    Kanoute

would be good imo. Hes been superb this season
  3. tbh i doubt viduka will stay injury free for long, he had pretty mixed record of attendance at boro.
  4. "was our best player this year " shows how poor we were then. what i saw with martins, was attacking moves breaking down because he repeatedly made wrong choices. His touch and positioning are really poor for an international. Maybe he does deserve the chance to improve, but if he doesnt then his value will decrease by 40% maybe sam is confident he can regenerate him. Signing deam ashton would be a wise move. He would combine very well with viduka. Not sure is hes fully recovered though? The only doubt
  5. Not convinced about martins. Never gonna be world class imo. Cut our losses while we can or take a gamble on him improving?
  6. "LONDON (Reuters) - Entrepreneur Alan Sugar has sold his stake in Premier League soccer club Tottenham Hotspur for 25 million pounds to sports and media group ENIC International. " more... " Tottenham Hotspur PLC's leading shareholder ENIC Ltd is set to launch a full offer for the Premiership football club after agreeing an option deal which values the club at 209.5 mln stg. ENIC, which is owned by Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy, has entered into an agreement with Amshold under which it has been granted a call option to buy 13.6 mln Tottenham Hotspur shares from Amshold on July 2 at a price of 113.6 pence per share."
  7. bah! i use the link on that site quite alot, to chk on share prices.
  8. that pic on the official site is blatant photoshop tbh. the head doesnt match the size of the arm. if its real, then hes a real mutant!
  9. "Broon Ale shirley" she the lass that works on the corner of westgate road?
  10. id say we had a moral responsibility to sign the poor soul. We need to save him from that hell that is manchester. I am sure once he moves to more sane region then his behaviour will improve. Either that or hes a total mentalist rotten to the core and beyond help. Probably just needs a geordie lass to sort him out.
  11. padding out our thin squad is a good thing. DOnt think we can rely on nzobia not to throw a tantrum, so we need cover. Sam cant make big name signings till the takeover is sorted. Although i guess hes spoken to ashley and has a trasfer budget penciled in??
  12. hmm trabelsi and unsworth on the list too!
  13. babic on a free? we looked at him a few years ago, think he was worth 8m at the time
  14. dein has great exp, but seems a bit too smooth an operator imo. Another professional leech. But at least one with an impressive cv
  15. yes i did mean hulse. sorry i thought it was obvious who i meant )
  16. was poor game for england. The usual poor mclaren decisions. However i wonder if there was a bit of tactics involved here. I think the team for weds will be quite different. (maybe i am giving the tosser too much credi??) Estonia game is so crucial he would be crazy to reveal his team in advance. Problem is though that the team need confidence, in what their game plan is, because tbh they dont seem to have one under mclaren. I hope he get murdered on weds. It would be better for england in the longterm if we fail to qualify for euro champ. The england set up is such a joke......too many clueless muppits with there snout in the fa feeding trough. Blood needs to be spilt BIG time, for the fans sake. Sadly i fear the leeches in the fa are too firmly entrenched. One of the reasons i would neve ever pay to watch england.
  17. personally id like the blades` striker here instead of ameobi. He one of the best headers of the ball ive seen since shearer. HEs tall and strong and fairly quick, work well with owen imo. Maybe not value for money though, as being english he will have silly price tag.
  18. if freddy is still in hospital, then who is signing the chks?
  19. with 30m in tv money as min next year how can a promoted side not have min of 15m to spend?? Any chairman with balls larger than quail eggs would see the gamble as worthwhile. SOunds like nial quinn has been telling some pokies,.
  20. arsenal are most likely imo. unless manu scrounge up some more dosh. Dont manu still have a rigid wage structure?? Forget what ronaldo is on atmo.
  21. whos the scarey bloke in nsg pic?? he looks like bradys evil twin. def missed his 11am valium pill.
  22. Tight Ends 47 Michael Allan 89 Jason Dunn 88 Tony Gonzalez 45 Wes Murphy 48 Keith Willis 84 Kris Wilson ROFL Must be something to aspire to being a tight end for the rest of your career !
  23. given the recent change of manager and probable takeover you might get to watch a decent team next season!!
  24. "with the injury-prone and high-earning Kieron Dyer, who has interested Tottenham Hotspur, unlikely to figure in Allardyce's plans." music to my ears. sadly i doubt this comment came from sam, and is clearly the opinion of the autor. ie is bllocks
