" In fact, who has ever left NUFC for a profit, let alone £3m in a year?" erm woodgate??

no problem with smith coming in to our midfield groupees, as long as it takes nothing out of the budget for spending on defenders. if he is supposed to be a dyer replacement then i am not too impressed; not enough pace.

ask if he feels cheated by ashly over the transfer funds.

whats the name of the ombudsman that deals with media?? WE should make a complaint to them about that article. If it proves to be just a pack of lies. Its about time that a line was drawn in the sand against shitty jounalism. its getting rediculous!!!

Newcastle 4 - 1 Celtic (friendly) - Post match thoughts from page 29

some players shone last night. I was impressed with Geremi. He did a good job in midfield. Rozenthal looked decent. troisi looked lively. Martins made some decent passes, and looked useful. usual shite......carr pattison. Solano won us the game in the first half. He looked as good as his 2002 lvl of playing. Was great to see us get a win, although celtic looked a bit toothless; still aint worked out who they have as there main striker, seemed to be awol. -

"He made only 14 competitive appearances for Real Madrid." suprised if that is accurate!! I was at Rmadrid ground in feb 06 and saw him play against espanyol. He defended pretty well, but then espanyol looked rather poor that night. -
why has luque got time to chase women? should be conc on getting fit!

personally i dont give a monkeys arse anymore about domestic cup glory. I find the uefa cup runouts farmore enthraling. if we get lucky in uefa cup, we could more easily win that....meaning: the season we exited with souness, there were not many really top quality teams left in it. Sine they added the champ lge droput clubs its rather more of a lotto to win it. Maybe it makes it more worthwhile competition, but the prize money doesnt reflect this!!!

its great to watch this !! My uncle is a leeds fan, and hes a bit egotastic.motor mouth, so its great seeing him look embarased wheni ask how leeds are doing. HE was convinced nufc were gonna get relegated last season!

Seems a good idea, but its wont work 2times in 4 years. Would create too many games near the end of a loong season, which would affect euro championships and world cup.

Ashley to "stun the football world" with big signings
womblemaster replied to NSG's topic in Football
It scares me a bit how tough a league the premiership is these days. The scrap for uefa places was intense this year, this comming year its going to be absolutely murderous! We have got our act together, and seems the only wayis up the table, but we arent alonein this; Villa and Mcity are going to be our bitter rivals this season for those cup slots. Everton are unpredictable form wise, but think we are potentially better than them (on paper) but they proved they have great team spirit. Pompei are slowly slipping back to midtable, maybe bolton too! Spurs are now in top 5 scrap, and i think it wont be this season thatwe can equal them; they have made some fab signings in last 18months. I cant see us pulling any rabbits out of the hat. Any world class players, wont leave the champions league, it might be better to search for u21 cutting edge talent, players capable of becoming big name sin the next few years?? I think we can make top 8 with ease. A few more quality signings will really add the cream on the cake! It would be great to be fighting spurs for 5th place, but in reality i think that maybe next season. -
i saw milner play plenty last season. he was average. His passing was dodgy, his crossing ave, his finishing poor. Nothing to get excited about. If he can improve then he will justify his place in the team. HOwever i do thing he works hard. Just lacks the skill or brains to be top draw midfielder....hes a grafter, not a raw talent player.

"Should be the complete article at the age of 21." True he aint beckham or a gillespie. I guess we are used to accepting second best these days. tbh i do think he should be in the squad. Maybe he can develop into a good player. Personally though i dont feel he should be the first choice in our midfield. I acknowledge he proved invaluable in europe last season, he was too good for the opposition we played; worldbeating teams like palma and howsyadog FC I would play milner in cup games and in euro, and find better for our important games.

Only hope big sam can teach him how to play. IF he learns to cross he may be useful squad rotation member.

Will go up my sisters and watch them. Internal tv. Are they a second generation teletubbie clone? PLz answer in polish, and state how many handbags will be used.
