How do you see before the gameweek starts? I'm thinking Man City players, I have Sterling, Sane, Kane and Eriksen. Struggling to choose my triple captain...thinking Sterling, he's been in good form.

Said it a few pages back. He's undeniably in good form, but he was shite (as was everyone else at the time) under Rafa's tactics and I suspect his form would dip as soon as he came back if we didn't start playing much further up the pitch. I would love us to keep him and play to his strengths, and if we had a revolving door of managers I definitely would, but I don't really think it will work out that way and I love Rafa loads more.

Aye, I think a relegation fight plays into Rafa's hands the same way his tactics work at the top. His overall knowledge of the game and a clear well drawn out plan allow the players to trust his methods and get behind something. A whole squad believing in a system has obvious benefits therein. I suppose a lot like pep or Klopp, in that regard. It takes a while for the whole squad to buy into it and see the fruits of their labour, but once they have, they've got a conviction behind their play, and a manager who believes in it. Someone like Pardew, when the chips are down and he hasn't got conviction in his ideas (or doesn't even truly have ideas...), the whole thing just collapses.

As far as I can see there, he's proving himself as a good player in team who are one of the best in their league. Half the goals he's scoring seem to be flashed across the box by a tricky winger. We couldn't and haven't played like that this season, we don't have fast wingers and until recently haven't made those kinds of chances. We've been counter-attacking all season and it's clear that those aren't the situations that Mitro is finding himself now. All power to the lad but I don't think he'd have scored many this season.

I think maybe considering most teams only have one space for a top class GK, there is much more of a chance of being overlooked until you're further into your career. Strikers and attacking talent can be hoovered up because they are much more interchangeable in systems etc. I think also Dubravka had a bit of a reputation for being a bit fragile mentally.

Fair enough, I reckon so too. I suppose footballers just back themselves to succeed, but it seems from his comments that he'd be more than happy to sign for us too.
