KK rumoured to be going. BBC say he is in a board meeting. SSN say he didn't take training this morning.
-
So let me get this straight ... if they don't deny a rumor, no matter what the rumor is, that makes it true? It's been on all the news outlets since 10.30. it would take them 5 mins to correct it. So yes. No, professional clubs don't issue statements about pieces of press speculation. They'd run out of printer paper in no time. There is press speculation, then their is front page on BBC and top story on SSN. It needs denying.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/n/newcastle_united/7593683.stm Newcastle boss Kevin Keegan has been holding talks with the club's board on Monday, BBC Radio Newcastle understands. Reports have suggested that Keegan has been unhappy as speculation mounts over his future at St James' Park. The club's only business on transfer deadline day was a £5.7m swoop for Spain's Xisco and the loan signing of midfielder Ignacio Gonzalez. Keegan, 56, made a dramatic return to Tyneside in January. More soon.

we dont know there was ever a offer and ever if there was it may have not been a good one. Guy who broke the story said 3 clubs were under consideration - Arsenal, Man City and Newcastle. Ashley wouldn't sell/overpriced the club so Abu Dhabi went for City instead. Well done Ashley. You c*nt Have the Adu Dhabi lot done anything yet to make you think you'd rather have them than Ashley in charge? They've only been at Man City about 18 hours for fuck's sake. They bought Robinho.

Pure speculation here but my guess would be they promised him some things in last Wednesday's board meeting like replacing Milner and none of this happened in the end.

Emergency meeting or planned? Didn't say.

BBC are saying Keegan going is still unconfirmed but there was definetly a board meeting a SJP this morning.

Five Live saying they think he's gone.

I'm trying to be positive but something is not right. Keegan said on friday he wanted 3 or 4 players in and would have Milner's money to spend, we got 2 players in and didn't spend close to what Milner got us. Keegan was saying all last season and all summer the squad was too small yet it doesn't increase in size. How can we have confidence, when our own manager doesn't seem to know what's going on. There's also other issues which I think have been dealt with very poorly by the club all summer and I am definetly not happy at this time. I'd love to see us have a great season but it just doesn't feel like it wll happen right now.

Playing the man who has the most assists (guessing) for us last season is an absolute farce? Geremi's never going to set the world alight but he's no Smith. I'm not going to deny Geremi has a good delivery, he probably has the best in our team. But he in no way should be starting on our right wing. He has zero pace, can't beat a man and due to his lack of pace has problems tracking back when opponents break quickly, leaving Beye badly exposed. My piont is Milner should have never been sold if we weren't going to buy a replacement. Why are you ignoring Geremi being a better player than Milner. There is also an arguement that Jonas was bought as Milner's replacement as he plays on the right wing. Seriously, fuck off. You must still be pissed if you think Geremi is a better player than Milner. My piont is also even if Jonas was brought in to play on the right, with our squad being so small he'll end playing on the left a fair bit.

On the face of it that looks a big enough squad. Then we include today's injuries: GK: Given Harper Forster Krul RB: Beye Colo CB: Colo Taylor Bassong Edgar LB: Bassong N'Zogbia RM: Jonas Geremi CM: Guthrie Butt Barton Gonzalez Geremi LM: N'Zogbia Jonas ST: Owen Xisco (Ameobi) Suddenly the squad looks not so impressive, and I'm being generous here by including Barton. This squad effectively picks itself when you consider that we will have injuries and suspensions throughout the season.
-
Been an utter failure. Our small squad has not got any bigger. We have no backup RB. No natural backup LB. Only 4 natural central midfielders, got knows what we'll do if we have injury problems. Right wing will have to to be Jonas or Geremi, and with the injury problems were having down the left we could be forced into playing Geremi on the right, which is an absolute farce.

As said before, Newcastle have confirmed nothing.

Abu Dhabi United Group for Development and Investment buy Citeh

It's pathetic like. Why does anyone want to be in City's position? Look what's happening. They're making bids left, right and centre, and all of them are falling apart, not coming to anything. They may have loads of money, but they don't have the pulling power. I'm actually gonna save that quote and post it again exactly a year from now, I think you'll find you will be very mistaken. -

Fucking depressing that we one of 3 clubs under consideration but we were overpriced by Ashley according to the guy who broke the story. -
Ah no for £12 million pounds they were dead right Yeah, because it's worth f***ing up our season for £12 million. Christ man...trust me selling Milner will not fuck up our season. He had one good game since I can remember and it was his last game for us against Coventry in the 2nd round of the carling cup! Your a joke if you think he's had 1 good game for us. Don't mistake me for some Milner fanatic, I'm all for selling IF we can get a replacement but the fact is if we don't replace him were in trouble. Were already having problems if the squad stays as it is. Zoggy will have to go back to LB to replace injured Enrique, Duff is injured, so Jonas has to go back to the left which leaves Geremi playing on the right, and that's assuming whatever kept him out yesterday won't cause him to miss Hull. If Geremi doesn't make it for Hull, who plays on the right? Also, you REALLY don't want Geremi as your primary right winger for a large chunk of the season.
-
Against. Hikes up prices and puts way too much pressure on clubs.
-
Year long loan deal.
-
This and the fact he played today and Spurs are not going to want to have ot find a replacement in 24 hours.
-
Challenge for Europe in the league and/or have a good run in the cups.

You don't play for Monaco and Valencia without having something going for you though surely. Well worth a punt on a loan. That's kind of the piont though, he hasn't played for either really. Only got 5 appearances (don't know how many of them were starts either) at Monaco and now is considered surplus at Valencia without even playing a game. Also, while I don't know the ins and outs of the deal, it's only ever worth it if we have a clause to buy him because if he excels Valencia will just take him back or sell him to another club.
-
Think that was ruled out weeks ago. No chance of Spurs selling at the 11th hour anyway, they have enough problems as it is getting new players in before the deadline and offloading Berbatov.
