One thing you can't deny about Harper is that the defence look more comfortable from crosses as they know Harper will come and get a lot of ball, whereas they know with Given unless it is over his head he isn't coming for anything.
Bloody hell! Just went you thought it couldn't get any worse for Sunderland they have payed £6m for Kenwyne Jones.
I'm stunned anyone has payed that much for him, not worth half that imo.
Their is one example which solely proves that is a terrible idea and that is the 2004 FA Cup final, if this new idea had been in play then you would have ended up with Millwall in the Champions League.
Don't know where you have got advanced talks from. In his SSN interview he says he would hope to have a deal a agreed for his 2 targets in the next 48 hours but then goes on to say he is yet to agree a fee and he would then need to see if the financial terms were right and sort out a medical.
I think the worry for me is if we don't start playing better we aren't going to pick up any pionts against sides like Everton, Spurs, Blackburn, Man City who are much better quality than the sides we've struggled against so far.
Barton has an appiontment with his specialist this week in which he will most likely get the go ahead to begin light training. So I think Late September/Early October is more realistic than Late October.
wow... any excuse to have a go... Not only would that be pretty unfair given the nature of the second goal, but it's also completely untrue
ridiculous
Have you seen the goal? Watch where Zog is standing, he is marking nobody and makes no attempt to to close down the people on the edge of the box.
