  1. Pretty much yeah, that's the reason why you get Liverpool fans and politicians saying this idea is a disgrace. They hear that standing is being brought back and instantly point to Hillsborough. Might sound pedantic but the minority who are against the idea of safe standing are against it due to ignorance, there's a huge difference between what terraces were and the safe standing models being suggested. Cheers I'd prefer terraces as well, but safe standing is the safer, more sensible way forward. There's basically no sound argument against it, imo.
  2. Can we change the title? It's safe standing not terraces. Using terraces to describe it just brings along negative connotations which shouldn't be linked to safe standing.
  3. And here's to Bobby Moncur, The Fairs Cup in his hand, We're better than Glasgow Rangers, We're better than Celtic too, And if you don't support us, You must be a Sunderland... Joe, Joe, Joe Harvey!

The amount of comments mentioning Newcastle, saw it coming but still
  6. Remember needing to go for a piss against Man United at home one time, think it was the 2-2 when David Edgar scored. Had just stepped out onto level 7 as we were attacking, and somehow we managed to score. Remember running up the stairs being grabbed by everyone going mental, hugging random people on the end of each row Also pretty much every goal was celebrated in the Leazes Corner as if it was amazing, wasn't a single goal celebration where I wasn't getting ragged about. Fucking class each time.
  7. Same here, in fact, any atmosphere would be nice. In an odd way, i also miss the steps up to Level 7 now, used to always run up them Packed it in after they closed the Leazes Corner, had enough with being fucked over by the club. Championship season was class, hammering teams every week, chants going on for well over 10 mins such as "We don't care about Ashley" & "We're Newcastle & we're going to win the league". Was like an away end and still annoys me to this day that they closed it. Hearing some good things about another singing section being given the go ahead next year though, so fingers crossed.

  11. Hopefully see a reaction like at Villa. Still early doors, confident we still have a goal or 2 in us.
  12. I know it's early on and against a shite opposition, but it's such a breath of fresh air seeing our attacking play after last seasons shite.
