he speaks english, 100%, no idea if hes been interviewed speaking english or not.

McClaren's style isn't pretty either (by anyone's definition) and he won the League Cup and the Eredivise. So what? disagree with this part mind, it was some feat, I think theres only him and van gaal who have won it in recent times and havent been in charge of one of hollands big clubs.
-
or,as Tron says, he may be such a fanny he wont insist on his own men, which renders the whole thing largely pointless.
-
the positives of mcclaren are he isnt carver, he's won a trophy here and abroad (and whatever anyone says give boro their best period in history), and he will also bring proper bona fide coaches with him (steele, round). erm, after that......... bottom line is, nobody will be vitriolic towards him, just apathetic because we could have done so much better.
-
It'll be mcclaren now. I've said before I'd have taken him, that was before Derby alarming collapse. We need a statement of intent to stop this horrific slide that surrounds the club. Mcclaren want inspire many. To sum up. Meh. Again.
-
depends which way you look at it i guess. would you take rafa? hardly expansive, in fact, pretty much the opposite, but cracking record, and most would spaff their pants if he came here.
-
you're right, im fucking barmy me, proper loon.
-
fair point. in terms of record though, laudrup is as much a mixed bag as mcclaren, in fact, mcclaren has probably achieved more with his twente league win, but I take the point entirely on style. derby are meant to play this free flowing on the floor attacking football, which ive never seen whenever ive watched them.
-
maybe, yeah, i can see that point. im not saying laudrup is a bad manager by the way, im just saying his record is pretty similar to mcclarens, domestic cup win etc. i just cant see why people are saying yes to laudrup and treating mcclaren like hes the worst thing in the world. theyve both had ups and downs, pretty similar records, except laudrup doesnt last 5 mins anywhere he goes. if you're basing it on managerial ability and record, theres not a lot of difference.
-
Seriously, you "don't understand" that? nope. care to explain what this huge difference is? between wanting one and detesting the other?
-
Don't understand why people would want Laudrup and couldn't stand the thought of mcclaren. Their records are pretty similar.
-
wasn't Garde apparently wanting to hold out until summer to get his own staff from Lyon? not defending them like, just thought h was one of the ones we couldnt get in jan.
-
Danny Ings in the Trafford centre last night, he's smaller and skinnier than I thought.
-
Northern echo reckons we want Austin.
-
Coming from Madrid? Sounds expensive, next....
-
Mirror claims we want moyes.
-
I think we'll get something from this. Fuck knows why.
-
rumours on twiiter (probably shite) that we've gone for moyes.
-
I wasnt against mccalren at all, but derbies implosion injuris or not, is a worry. i was on one of the irmessage boards last week and they all seemed to want him to stay, guessing that may have changed now. very much a 'meh' appointment. theres rumours on twitter (probaby bollocks) of Moyes, he'd be ideal.
-
Had a browse of a Derby forum earlier, struggled to find anyone on there who wanted rid of him. They also talk about 'progressive attacking style', which I must admit, I've never seen evidence of anytime I've seen them play.

I went to watch the Nike premier cup at man utd training ground a few years ago, we had a team in and Campbell absolutely ran the show , he got player of the tournament, which has been won by some big names in the past. It's a shame it hasn't worked out for him. Nufc all over really.
-
he's done a good job at derby to be fair to him. they werent anywhere near promotion until he took over, they were a whisker away in the playoffs final last season, and have been there or thereabouts this season. you can pick at him for his england job, or wolfsburg, or forest, but certainly not derby.

an afc newcastle will happen within 2 years i think
