Are you in the same seat as last season?

Shit, I would have gone to this if I had known it was being played tonight.

It looked 4-4-2 to me, at other times we were just as ragged as hell and had no shape at all.

The bit in bold is horse piss and that's not aimed at you, it's aimed at the thought of "We have to give him time to stabilize this club." Just because we give him time doesn't mean that he'll stabilise the club. He could just as easily go the other way and take us backwards and giving him time could make matters far worse than they are now.

To be fair to him, he hasn't had the chance, he's been sacked.

    Papiss Cissé

The club claim they sent information to Senegal and heard nothing from them. If that is the case why didn't they follow it up and find out why they'd heard nothing? I try to contact people daily at work and don't always hear back from them. When this happens I contact them again to make sure they have whatever information I originally sent to them. I don't bury my head in the sand and hope everything is all right in the world.

I'm not going to try and change history, I had my doubts about Hughton as I thought that he was too cautious but I also thought that he was learning and I felt that he deserved at least a full season unless it all went tits up, which is wasn't doing so at the time of his sacking. The bloke is one of the most dignified managers I've come across in football and he deserved better. If we'd brought Jol in, who was out of work within days of Hughton being sacked, I would have seen sense in the decision because I think Jol would have been an upgrade. Hughton also looks like he’s a better manager than I thought he was so I can’t really blame others for making the same mistake if they underestimated him, I can blame them for the timing of his sacking.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

That's the way I feel, at times I thought pass it then looked around and he had nobody to pass to unless it went backwards.

What p*ss poor transfer dealings ? Lack of transfer dealings , yes, but that isn't down to Pardew. And I'm pretty sure you can't blame the manager for the form of the players. Of course you can, the way we play isn't suiting them and our disjointed season isn't either.

The irony of him getting sacked with a points total that Pardew is unlikely to reach is the one that gets me.

You mention 45 minutes when "Sammy, Shane and Anita behind Ba," is that the same 45 minutes when Ba and Sammy did the same as Ba and Cisse did last week and challenged for the same ball in the box? We were 4-4-2 in the first half with Ferguson wide left, Sammy and Ba in the middle with Ben Arfa playing mainly wide right but coming inside. Ben Arfa was the only one who didn't hold a rigid position. The other 3 were where you would expect to see them for most of the time. You can blame the defence all you want, the defence are not to blame for Swansea walking around our central 2 which they did almost at will. They passes around us as if we were out-numbered at times and that wasn’t unexpected once we went with 2 in the middle. Earlier in the week I said we’d lose to these because they would pass the ball around us, unlike last year they can get goals. Later in the week I thought that Pardew was starting to realise where our problems lie. I thought he would go 3 in the middle because he’d recognised that we were being outplayed. I didn’t take much notice of him justifying playing 2 in central midfield because I thought that it was just him covering his own arse, I was wrong. Not having Cisse was the ideal opportunity to try something different and an opportunity to go with 3 in the middle without upsetting anybody but he’s either too pig headed to change or can’t and that will be his downfall here. For all we played slightly better at times yesterday, we were still outnumbered in an area of the field which you must control to win games and we didn’t do it. Our movement off the ball was still poor and we were still not creating space, we were still relying on Ben Arfa giving us a spark and he can’t carry the team. Take Krul and Ben Arfa out of that team yesterday and we could have lost by 4 or 5 goals. Krul dropped a massive bollock for the first, away from that he kept us in it because we could have been 3 goals down before half time.
  12. Our lack if investment doesn't explain what is wrong with us at the minute. A lack of investment has nothing to do with playing a system which doesn't suit our players. I think it would have stopped us breaking into the top 4 and over the season could have seen us drop a couple of places, it has nothing to do with us sitting below half way. I remember getting a bit of stick when I questioned our transfer policy in the summer by people who were happy with it. I thought that bringing in Anita was mad when we clearly needed replacements elsewhere in the team but others were happy with it, most people were if I remember rightly.
  13. I honestly think it will stay within the club, I just hope that it doesn't go on increasing players wages like income rises in the past have done.
  14. I applauded him on and when the booing started and the applause was quite good when he eventually ran on to the pitch. Most people around me were booing him when he first got up then clapped him which was strange.
  15. It's mad that grown adults put so much into a game and get so little out of it most of the time. I’m probably one of the few that have seen the club win a trophy in my lifetime and that is pathetic when you look at some of the clubs who have won trophies. I genuinely feel sorry for the people who have never had the chance to experience what it’s like and we’re unlikely to see that change for a while. I’ve brought my kids up to support Newcastle and I sometimes feel that by doing so I’ve ensured that they’re in for a life which consists of misery every week or two.

It's both bizarre and idiotic to recognise a problem then repeat the same mistakes.

    I wouldn't disagree.

Only if I use a decimal point.

You wouldn't want to know the numbers I'm potentially looking at.
