We didn't. We had Ben Arfa and Cabaye on the field and Ba wasn't being a selfish fuck and was willing to play on the left and play for the team. Right now we have Ba and Cisse forming two of our top three and they don't pass to each other but rather shoot on sight. Jonas completes the three and he can't pass/dribble/cross.

Frustrating that Ba and Cisse don't even attempt to pass to each other. NO intention whatsoever. They don't even look up to see who's making a run.

Come on guys stop being so critical. We're playing fucking man city and we're competing pretty well with a depleted side. We just need to get marveux on instead of gutierrez who can pop some crosses into Ba and Cisse. What's the point of having aerial dominance when we have noone that can cross on the field?

It's true that Jonas doesn't add much to our flow or buildup play. He does make a significant defensive contribution though. I would think we should play the Tiote-Anita Cabaye trio in games where we want to boss possession and then play Jonas against the bigger clubs. See. This is what´s wrong here. Everyone is happy if a player is running around and then hoof it long and hard. How can anyone be happy with that? I think we just have to be honest about the fact that when we come up against the big clubs like the Manchesters, Chelsea and Arsenal we don't have a squad that can outplay them.

I think the problem is that he often has to use his pace in positions where he shouldn't be or shouldn't have to rather. Our team doesn't move enough to provide outlets for him to conserve his energy in the final 3rd of the pitch. Usually it's Ben Arfa taking the ball out of our own box/half and by the time he needs his pace to get into their box he's out of puff. Suarez absolutely terrorised our defence not because he's more talented then Ben Arfa but because when they're not attacking he's standing/walking around near our centre halves and uses his saved up energy to burst into our half of the field when they attack. If we start moving/passing more as a team and Ben Arfa can conserve his energy for bursts into the box/wing (like he did for the goal today) we'll really start seeing his pace.

The way we were playing right after scoring is the most fluid we've looked this season. Anita has been surprisingly good. He's one of those players that help us keep possession by doing those simple passes. Quite rare in the premierleague apart from their Allen, Swansea's Ki.

We've done well today bar the first 20 minutes. But sometimes you just need that extra bit of quality in your side to produce those magical moments that decide matches. Benny is great but he's just not as good as Manchester's Howard Webb.
