  1. I think it's nailed on that Keegan will leave and Shearer will take over. Just not this season, and maybe not one after the other either.

    What's going on?

I don't agree with the article in the OP. The tone of the article comes across like a bubbly bairn: "I demand to know what's going on and I demand to know NOW!" But why should the club publicise its transfer dealings and internal relations? What good does it do? And what can they realistically say anyway? Is any other club providing this sort of information to their fans? What about all the clubs who haven't signed anyone yet - do they feel the need to post regular updates about to how they're getting on? The only thing that really matters is who we actually sign, not who we're linked with/talking to/watching/made an offer/who identified the target/who approved it for etc. Fair enough to demand to know what's going on if we fall short in the transfer dept but doing it after 1 or 2 days into the transfer window seems a bit silly somehow. Maybe the fact we're all in the dark indicates that the club's transfers are actually being run properly for once.....
  3. We'll be able to give tickets away to the kids then, just like the mackems
  4. Thats f***ing genius I suspect this poster is really Jonathan Miller....... Sounds like f***ing Sienna Miller, the fancy t***. Now there's an interesting thought Indeed. How's life on t'other side of world? Ee not bad thanks mate. Working my arse off so not much spare time (looking at this on my lunch break believe it or not)......winter weather here so not missing much. How're you going - did you move jobs in the end?

  7. I'm fairly sure it's not Wise's job to do any of those things you've mentioned. I thought it was Veteres job to go and get the players, Wise to find players, and Morts to tie down current players to new deals. Anyway a bit harsh to blame Wise for missing out on Woodgate when he was appointed a day after the latter had signed for Spurs... I still haven't forgiven Wise for signing Boumsong. He should of been sacked for that, the looser.
  8. Yes, this slagging off is disgraceful. May I offer the following: He's fat, he's round He can't jump off the ground Stephen Carr, Stephen Carr He's shit, unfit We'll miss him a little bit (as he was decent this season when called upon to be fair) Stephen Carr, Stephen Carr
  9. I was very much distressed by the news of Carr's imminent departure. In his honour I have composed the following poem: Pick up your boots and go now man Get off the treatment couch To Portsmouth or perhaps West Ham Or some other mugs down South Your head's too big, your legs have gone The pies did all the damage So piss off when the season's done Aye you and Peter Ramage.

    MBark Boussoufa

Apparently his mbark is worse than his mbite
  11. My current feeling is a total lack of surprise. The club's been on a downward curve since Sir Bobby and this is the culmination of a long period of decline, I feel like we've been heading in this direction for a long time. The old board was responsible for appointing Allardyce, who was a failure. But I'm bored with this talk about the old board - who gives a f*** honestly - the only thing that matters is if we survive, what are Keegan, Mort and Ashley going to do to move this club upwards?

    What worries me

So you'll be changing your name to FacilitatorHTT?
  13. Yes, Mort tries to give that impression at every opportunity he can doesn't he. Actually it's the accounts that give that impression. A loss of 32.9m for a 12 month period and an injection of 75m needed to prevent the auditors qualifying the accounts as not being a going concern, according to the Guardian.
  14. The significant mistake, amidst all the transfer strategy cautiousness delivered by Mort & Ashley which has already been cited, which may well bring about our relegation. That mistake is the one that counts the most. That one month will go down as a 'not to do' blueprint for other clubs to go by. If we survive the drop, and if Keegan isn't sufficiently backed - surely promises must've have been made when considering the manner in which Keegan originally left - in the Summer as far as i'm concerned Ashley can bring in the scaffolders have them remove his "...... Direct" advertising and sell-up & bugger off, sooner rather than later that is. *Yet some many people still can't see the point. I guess 'not being Freddy Shepherd' is one factor, along with all the other stuff ie. Ashley's "i stand as the leader of Toon Army - i bleed as they do" warcry in the press and by getting down & dirty in the terraces and generally coming across as your everyday grassroots supporter.... and the debt reduction issue is also a relevant point, which weighs in Ashley & Mort's favour at the minute. I get the impression that without Ashley's money our club would have been well and truly in the clarts by now, Leeds stylee. I think from the last financial statements the club was teetering on the brink of being insolvent. We're totally in the s*** as far as the league's concerned, and I'm gutted about how this season's turning out, but at least I'm not worried about us going bust.

    A role for Geremi

He could collect up the dirty kits and boots and help put the cones out
  16. We're too shit to play defensive. Our only chance is to have a go imo

    dirtiest 11?

In terms of sneaky dirty, I'd go for Nicos Dabizas. What he lacked in talent and positional play (which was a huge amount), he made up for with niggly fouls, cheaty trips, shirt pulls and obstruction, all of which he somehow managed to do AND portray himself as a victim to the ref. Typical pose was both arms raised high having tripped or obstructed the opposition, as if he was somehow blameless. A true master of underhand, continental chicanery. I'm sure there are true hard men through the ages that get mentions from the like of Parkinson like Chopper Harris, but the one that sticks in my mind since I've been watching football is Claudio Gentile. I've never forgotten the hatchet job he did on Maradona in the 82 world cup. A true b****** - mean, violent and determined.
  18. Valid point. I saw West Ham had Parker, Nobby, Bowyer, Bellamy & Dyer all out at once for a long spell not so long ago. Babba has been paid off. Moore given the heave ho. I am sure there are others sicknotes sacked off. West Ham are our treatment table overflow facility. I expect they've sacked the doctor that does the transfer medicals
  19. It's more likely that these guys have jumped rather than been pushed. And the lower injuries may be something to do with the fact we're playing fewer games than ever before this season - because we've been knocked out of the cups in the early rounds and we're not in Europe - and we've got rid of a lot of the injury plagued malingering toerags we traditionally specialise in (with the exception of Carr). Anybody who thinks the club is going to ignore the fitness and health of players simply because Allardyce's groupies are jumping ship are making some massive assumptions. Allardyce spoke a lot of shite on lots of issues, he's not the only one in the country who appreciates sports science and it may even be that Keegan doesn't deal with that side of things.

    This says it all!!!!

No need to panic yet. Only two of those games are under KK and we'll have better days than against Arsenal at the Emirates. It's how we play against the weaker teams that matter, especially at home, starting with the Beasts on Sunday
  21. I laugh - loudly - at hypocrisy and silly agendas. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dogmatism

    Today's matches.

So much for the press's theory that a club is more likely to win things if the manager's been there a long time.
