Seems to have done his medical quickly. Was only at the training ground for 3 hours or something.

Aye, West Hams youth players are kicking off that Moyes isn't giving them a chance. It's got so bad that one lad went to Sunderland.

Is there not some debate on whether to take any fee to a tribunal, where NUFC believe they will have to pay less? I think that is where the hold up is. If we decided to go for Ashby now, we don't want our pants pulled down over a fee, when we could get him for pennies in the summer. The club are clearly conscious of having a strong British element to our squad.

Was Gordon in the England youth set up at the same time as Ashworth was running things? It would explain why the latter trusts Gordon's character.
-
Overpaying is a matter of opinion though. It's also worth reminding people that we've just fleeced Forest for 15m.

Didn't realise he was 6 foot. Always had him down as a midget.

Makes a change for us to be taking young English talent off Merseyside, been decades of the other way around. Oh how times change.

All aboard the rat train.... choo choo....

He's 21, if he spends the bulk of his career here, its a fair price. If he doesn't, we will get half of that back.

FWIW, I think Gordon has a higher potential than Harrison of Leeds, who's in a comparable position. Gordon is a classic young kid with plenty of potential but a bit of headless chicken. He just needs pointed in the right direction. He's not the sort of player who you expect to do something magic on the ball but I think he's quick and could pose a massive problem physically to stretch defenders. He's a good building block type player.

Yeah, sorry. Kind of entered the middle of a conversation.
-
When you say 1st division, you mean championship equivalent, right? Also the Bellamy comparisons are unfair, since Gordon isn't a striker.
-
He's blocked me. Could you share?
-
Hope he's got a new deal. Would be amazing news.
-
He wouldn't take on me.

Remember last time we were going to sign Joao Pedro and YAR said he wanted to "go big" or something and we lumped on Isak. That's the the sort of chairman I want. Get the wallet out big lad.

To win stuff.

Every window, transfers incoming.

I could absolutely see a scenario where Ashworth tells an agent that his client might have to "do something at your end", type scenario.
-
Absolutely. I've often thought transfer requests were actually just relinquished loyalty bonuses too. If your Everton you say "hand in a transfer request then", and they save themselves an extra wedge. I wonder if this is what's going on.

Surely Ryan Fraser to them on loan, would suit all parties. Covers their wide areas but also gives them some money to bolster other areas.
