Bowen is EXACTLY in line with our recent purchases. He's at a good age/experience, his wages won't be astronomical either.

Gonna be mint when we have mentally fresh players in the second half of the season Willock, Joelinton, Tonali, Livramento, Isak/Wilson, Barnes (depending on how things pan out). I've said before that sometimes I feel injuries can be a minor blessing long term. Look at Barnes, Gordon has benefitted (and therefore the team) from Barnes injury. If history is anything to go by, Barnes will be a better player for it in the new year and might give us a crucial boost. Could have done with him on Sunday mind. The likes of Joelinton fighting their way back into the team will only provide an energy boost when someone like Anderson is ready for a rest. Look at the positives not the negatives, I think is my point.

West Hams potential front six. Alvarez Ward-Prowse Soucek Bowen Paqueta Kudus Not to be sniffed at. We will have to be at our best IMO.

Love finding other clubs content that is complimentary of us and generally just sound. Enjoy.

I think coverage is outdated in general.... sitting a studio with a 60 year old former player/failed manager whinging on. Look at Carra and Micah going into the box and having a bit craic with Shearer before the game. Just something a bit different, a bit lighthearted. Remember when carra and neville did that at sjp, went and had a pint with the fans. That's the stuff we want to see. Even get out into the town. Amazing what you will learn. In essence, stop sitting on ya arse and yapping on about clubs you have very little insight on. Of course alot of pundits can't do this because they have alienated themselves with every fan base in the country.

I lot of the problem comes from the propagation that the women's game is equally as good as the men's. You also had Sue Whatsherface saying that the mens game should subsidise the women's game the other week, which apart from being nonsensical, stokes the sort of chauvinist rhetoric that right wing types love to pounce on. It's interesting that sky and Bt etc do a good job of hiring female presenters, Kate Abdo, Laura Woods etc but struggle when it comes to finding intelligent and interesting pundits (both male and female). When you see Merson, Morrison and Agbonlahor, you realise it isn't a women problem it's a competency problem and of course the pool of competent women in this field is much smaller than competent men, simply because there are less women involved in the game in general If it were me, I'd be trying to combine the presenting skills of Laura Woods, with the ex footballer view from Ally Mcoist and stick Allcott in there for a smart fan viewpoint. Do that and your onto a winner.

I agree with him, most of the women pundits aren't qualified whatsoever to talk about football at the highest level. However, a lot of the male pundits they have are also unqualified, largely because they are thick as shite.

The most significant thing I saw Tonali do?.... He was barking orders to teammates. Its massively significant that he now feels settled enough to do that IMO. That's the player we signed. I'm sure it's a language + settling thing. Easy to forget that he's a "new boy".
-
Another player who has went from being decent to being shit to being good over the last 5 years. Almost like something significant happened in his career in between. Longstaff Miggy Schar Were all decent under Rafa, at least to an extent.
-
Joelinton for Gordon. Anderson for Tonali. Isak for Wilson.

Where is the razor and ando commentary? Then I need match cam. Jizz all over.
-
Much better. Did all the dirty stuff. Still got way more to come.

Was like a god on the pitch.

Schar wheeling away will live with me until i die.

Hands up... I'd written him off.
-

I think with most big clubs momentum is everything, right now for Man Utd they are tumbling down a big hill and I'm not sure if Ten Hag survives. We shouldn't be naive though, it can change very quickly. One change of manager, all of their big hitters back, a spring in their step and MU are one of the only sides in the league who can string together a long run of wins like Liverpool did last season. From a long term perspective, Man United are a mess. When your infrastructure has been ignored to the extent where Old Traffords roof leaks, what else are the ownership neglecting? Scouting? Medical department? Training facilities? They are one of the biggest clubs in the world and they are falling behind. You can understand how a club can get recruitment strategy wrong because its a matter of opinion and chemistry, there's no excuse for their lack competence on infrastructure issues and even though I'm no Man United fan, I am a fan of football and its great institutions. Seeing fans of any club being taken for mugs by their owners is no laughing matter (we should know), whatever end of the spectrum the club may be. Short term they may or may not bounce back, long term, its more of the same for Man United because the glazers will keep pulling the rug from under them.

I actually think most on here, at least, see Villa in the mix for CL. I said as much. I also said I rate yous higher than Brighton, who don't have as strong a defence IMO. I'd certainly have you above Man Utd currently (they will be back) and right on our tails.

Howe will want to see him in friendlies and in training before making a decision to keep him around next season and even then, politics might play a part. The lad might want another year playing for Feyernoord and keeping him happy can only be a good thing. Feyernoord may want him back, in which case its hard to say no when they can offer him first team football. After all, we want strong relations across Europe. You never know, Feyernoord might have a gem of their own that we fancy, not the worst thing to have friends abroad etc.
