  1. He played a number 6 in both games. We just dominated the ball so much that he was playing in the opposition half.
  2. Has to be this: Pope Trippier Schar Botman Targett Bruno Joelinton Willock Miggy ASM Wilson Howe might play Lascelles with Burn/Botman.

On a target of 1.5 points per game, which would see us with the average points haul for a side aiming to finish 7th. We are currently on 1.55, which is encouraging. Plenty of highs an lows to go but we are currently on for 7th place.
  4. Big test of character for Arsenal.
  5. @HeronI was just wondering if it might be possible to somehow have a 3D flag display. It would have to be coming out of the east stand (facing the cameras). I like the idea of a Magpie seemingly coming out of the stand onto the pitch. I don't even know if its physically possible or not but it would be amazing to see.
  6. Actual God would have got a 4. Bruno does that against Man Utd he gets 10.
  7. Just think we need to go our own way. Sign the players Howe and Co want. It hasn't gone bad so far.
  8. Has anyone actually got the footage of Darren Lewis waxing lyrical?
  9. Late ratings: Pope 6 Was lucky their goal was ruled offside Trippier 8 Assist, bossed it. Schar 6 Same as pope. Botman 7 Some lush balls Burn 5 Probably his weakest performance for us. Willock 8 Bossed it for large periods. Desperate for a goal. Bruno 9 Two Goals, he's God basically. Longstaff 6 Lost the ball a couple of times but played well other wise. Miggy 8 A thorn all day, in fine form. Murphy 7 Another positive game. Wilson 7 Will be annoyed with himself for not scoring.
  10. I'm not having this Man Utd side. They just aren't very good. We can't be going to Old Trafford thinking we are playing Man Utd circa 2003, we are going there playing Spurs circa 2003. Don't let the size and reputation of the club convince you otherwise. They are very beatable, provided the refs don't give them everything.

Theres a first, mackems on top of a table.
  12. Not entirely sure but by my calculations he has 9 goals in 16 games including friendlies. Of course friendlies "don't count" but still impressive form.
  13. Aye, Toney dummies the ball after coming back from an offside position.
  14. Late to post but my thoughts: I actually thought we played better against Palace and Bournemouth at times. The difference was that Frank didn't play a low block, which is suicide against us. If you sit behind the ball and ask us to break you down, then we might struggle but if you open up and leave spaces we work the ball very well. They gifted us 3 goals but you have to take into account the sheer persistence of our pressure. In this league, if you want to play out from the back, you need to be bloody good or it can cost you. Ultimately Brentford had Mee and Ajer trying to play out and thats crackers in reality. Wilson should have had 2 goals today, let's hope he saving them for Old Trafford.
  15. Classic Lee Charnley move that, just when the footballing world expects a change of manager, bam, a new long contract.
  16. I'm here for nostalgia from this past year... jizz it all over my face and I will take it like a whore.
  17. The one that "fits" for me is that Rafa from Benfica. Reckon he'd be perfect for us.

Makes you wonder what they actually do on the training ground. I swear it all starts with the sheer lack of training the players do. West Brom players probably aren't fit enough to walk onto the field after a session with Brucey and the lads.

Stevie being abused again. Poor little cock. Don't worry Steve, the abuse stage is normally followed by the sack stage and then it's the Dubai stage. That normally makes you feel better. Have yourself a bab tonight with Alex, just to calm your little ticker down.
  20. West Ham are weird. It's like, you know they are a decent side but could be so much better. Like a cluster fuck of decent players, all playing a different game.
  21. We need quality players in attacking areas. It doesn't really matter which player he would be pushing out of the team, whether it's Willock, Miggy or even Maxi. Our most important player is Bruno and he and Maddison are entirely different players and would work well together IMO. The rest is secondary, in the grand scheme.
  22. I suppose that more where he was on the line up. Got his assist for Daka from that position.
