His fitness is superb. In the second half he gets a second wind, while others are flagging.

We have him at a good age, where he is at the top of his game. Some CBs bloom around this age. He looks a real leader.

He was good in the first half but didn't see much of him in the second. Thought he looked tired.

Aye he's really grown into the league. He now plays like he did in the championship. Shame Dan Burn is going to school him.

If Shearer had only been at the club 7 days, had never played in the PL and was still getting to know the other players at the club, probably. He will be a regular fixture in this side very soon. Let it happen organically, instead of disappointing someone who is performing well.

My first game 1994, we beat them 5-1, I was only 6 but my biggest memory of Villa was when I used to have the old NUFC videos and the game where we beat them 4-3. Did Dwight Yorke get a hattrick? It was one of those classic Sky evening games, like the Man Utd 5-0 one.

Win today and we are as likely to go down as Leeds, Everton or Brentford IMO. We will have the wind in our sails, which is crucial. FWIW I think we probably draw which will keep us ticking along.

I think we will perform much better against the big teams. City away is a write off, Liverpool at home is very tough but we shouldn't fear the other games so much.
