Theres no conspiracy here either. The PL rightly dont want state actors owning football clubs. If the Saudis want to have their hands in a football club it needs to be through an independent body or a wealthy individual. Just take PIF out of the equation and replace it with someone not related to the Royal family or part of the government. I'm sure there is a list of people in SA prepared to be a puppet for them.

I dont really see the complication. PL wanted more details on the Saudis, which they felt they didnt need to give as they had already answered a bunch of questions. This left the situation in Limbo (hence the borefest over the summer). Staveley and Co decided to play a game of bluff by claiming to withdraw from the deal. This was merely an attempt to put pressure on the PL by bringing stuff out in the open. Negotiations have still been ongoing but unsuccessfully. MA decides to through his own spanner in the works by claiming it was rejected and hoying some accusations about. (Not like him to be flexible with the truth). PL say it hasnt been formally rejected, therefore it remains at an impasse. Neither side will budge. It will have to be done without PIF for now, or not at all.
-
If Staveley had any sense, she would offer MA to take control of the club by buying 65% or whatever is the controlling stake. She can then hang the carrot of keeping his advertising for another year or so while her, the Reubens and PIF (if they are still interested) can work out a way forward. The best part for MA is that someone is willing to invest in the club while he can still flog his tat (temporarily).

Just remind yourself of who's in the dugout. Helps. Aye it's like having the former girlfriends mother in the dugout.

Maybe Danny Graham is a better player at that level than Calum Wilson is in the premiership but that's like saying Davey who is upfront for the Dog and Duck is a better signing because he scored 40 in his sunday pub league. So funny watching them play whackamole with reality.

I'm not sure there is anything in this post that I agree with.

Yeah I definitely dont see an issue with that conversation. The oy thing missing was Rose saying that if he isnt going to play, he should be allowed to leave. It must be difficult for players who are on a downward slide in their careers.

Erm, I think Joelinton will be passing out the oranges, and even then most of them will end up on the floor.

Belfast flight landed in newcastle at 3.30.

Of course, depth is fine. Just highlighting the inevitable lack of any gameplan at all. It goes without saying that Steve Bruce is a clueless twat. However, every now and then it's ok for a club to sign a player because the deal is too good to pass up. I'd argue Fraser on a free, given his versatility, is a no brainer.

You are?

Again, no suprise that Newcastle fans have forgot about the whole concept of having a squad of players capable of getting a game. Especially in a Steve Bruce injury-ridden era. I'd be more worried of we have enough depth than whether this player or that player will get a game.
-
Better than Rondon. Some will make up any old shite to get excited about a thoroughly depressive situation.
-
Hes no great striker but he wont go missing in games.

Transfers dont work that way. Before accepting a bid, most clubs have an idea of their players preference and ultimately Villas bid would only become relevant if Newcastle couldn't get close enough to the price and Wilson had no other choice but move there.
-
Will make fuck all difference if Wilson wants NUFC move. He will ask Bournemouth to accept Newcastle bid.
-
I wonder who will try to sign from Watford.

If we were an ambitious team, Ryan Fraser would be an excellent addition to the squad, especially on a free. Sadly, we are putting most of our eggs in his and Jeff Hendricks basket, which is quite frankly, frightening, although incredibly consistent of us.

The clubs you mention I'd still choose Newcastle over all of them if I was that player, I get what you're saying about the goons in charge, but money talks players don't usually come here nowadays to play for us Palace or Villa, they come for the money first, then to show their worth and make the next step. Once upon a time Southampton had Van Dijk,Mane. This arguement would only make sense if we paid good wages. I suspect that we are bottom half of that particular league table.
