Someone is going to get a bargain in Tyrone Mings. Before you all start booting off, I'm not saying he's a great player but he is a good player and I'd bet my left bollock that Gerrard is trying to get him out of the door. He will end up at Fulham or Brentford or somewhere and put in better performances than any of the other Villa defenders under Gerrard.

Defo NWOAT. Bid is the benchmark for a thread. Can't go creating threads on the back of potential interest, forum would crash.
-
Dubravka Krafth Lascelles Botman Dummett Longstaff Almiron Anderson Murphy Fraser Wood Something like this, IMO.
-
I don't know the answer to this but I imagine if we can get this lad for a cheaper price that the likes of Maddison, I imagine it will be because we are keeping some money back for a loan deal somewhere.

Fuck sake Gray is going to pull us out. Thank god madrid aren't in the draw.
-
Fuck sake, noone gives a toss about match analysis. Get to the draw.
-
Boro would add some spice.

Pete making subtle suggestions that foreign journalists are stiring up transfer stories, when it's been his channels that has ran with this nonsense for most of the day. No fucker would have batted an eyelid until they invited that Portuguese fella on.

Reet, I will take a guess....... Forest at home. Shit like that always happens.
-
I remember you banging on and on about Joelinton when he was absolutely rubbish, saying he needed to play deeper. Honestly I thought you were a fucking idiot. You were right and I was wrong. Never will I doubt you again.

I always find it interesting when someone has the inside track on who we aren't so interested in but rarely has the inside track on who we are interested in. A very specific set of sources.

Programme pete has poo pooed this player.

Or Longstaff ends up getting called up from Brazils world cup squad.

Don't be ridiculous.... Let's get Bruno to invite him for some footy in his garden... let's pretend it's Joelintons birthday or something... meanwhile we will get Danny A to draft up a contract... we can get Bruno to make him sign a "birthday card" whilst secretly underneath he will have signed a 6 year deal.
-
There's 3 weeks, we signed 4 players in that time in January. I'm now braced for it going into the final week. The good news is that we only have two weeks to wait for the final week. Although it seems to take us about 5 days to do a medical so we might want to get a crack on.
-
Absolutely mental this. We would field a full strength side and smash them back into the grotty little town they came from. Anyway, I want home games, don't care about the opposition.
-
We won't go without. It's easy rhetoric with 3 weeks left to say "we only want players who will make a difference!" but you know what would make a difference?...having someone like Dennis as back up to Wilson. We are trying our upmost to maintain a high standard in the market, this is because we don't want to be lumped with an expensive player on a long contract who isn't any better than Almiron or Fraser or Wood. Towards the back end of the window, we will look for more pragmatic solutions. Burn and Targett were pragmatic solutions in January and they worked out. Right now we are holding our nerve and resisting the temptation to spend our money on Cornet etc.
-
I can see him going to City of they sell Bernardo Silva but it won't be for anywhere near 70m.... he's not English FFS. If they rate him higher than Bruno, then 45/50m max IMO.

I agree with @Ronaldohere. We have to show the likes of Bruno and Botman our progression, as well as potential new signings. Looking at the likely opposition, taking whatever you can from the opening day, West Ham will be there abouts but the rest were largely underwhelming. Palace might have something about them and Brighton are always punchy. I do also agree that if we have a 3/4 key injuries we will suffer but the long break in the winter may save our bacon in that regard. January will give us a chance to replenish, where others may not. It remains to be seen what state Man United are in. You suspect Ten Haag will eventually get a tune out of them but it could also snowball. The next game for them will be interesting
-
You laugh but I could absolutely see Wood at Everton. Sadly that would leave us even more in need of a striker.
-
Keane has been a terrible signing for them. They kept persisting with him too. I doubt he will be there come September. Will end up in the champo or at forest
-
Yeah i think Lampard plays a back 5 too. Everton won't be as easy to beat this year but are going to struggle massively for goals. They are effectively Burnley now.
-
Even though it basically rules out any decent football for Everton, I think having Coady and Tarkowski at least allows them to defend properly. They don't have the players to attempt to play football this year, so it looks as though they have gone for the defensive options. It's grim but I can see the logic.
