  1. What fee would make you think about selling him?
  2. This is what having a good manager does. Everyone's stock has risen. We will get bids for quite a few of our squad players.
  3. Was injured pre season which means he's gone to the back of the queue.
  4. Have a look around league mate. Right now his stock is higher than Ismaila Sarr, who's going for around 27. Everton are desperate. Remember Leicester signed Perez for 30 and that was in a much more stable market than now.
  5. We should noone go cheap. There will be desperate bidders.
  6. You have to get rid of the "he's playing alright now" mindset. I love Miggy as much as anyone but if Everton come hoying 30m for him, you sell him. Literally six months ago anyone on here would have snapped their hands off for 15m. If you are have your recruitment organised, you either find a loan deal to see us through until January or you push through a deal for a long term target like Maddison. It wasn't long ago Miggy was being kept out by Fraser and Murphy.
  7. Sorry, I think I've been misunderstood. I'm not saying either would get injured. I'm saying if he plays either vs Tranmere, I can't see them playing 3 games in 7 days. Also have Liverpool following midweek.
  8. We will start either Botman or Targett and they will miss the Wolves game IMO
  9. Hypothetically, would you rather pay 30/35m for a Broja loan/obligation now or keep our powder dry somewhat and sign an Isak next summer for 55/60m? I'm asking this question because I believe this is exactly what we are doing.

They aren't a million miles from each other. Neither are traditional number 9s.

He's 20, so he's no where near the finished article, nor has he nailed down his "position", so to speak. From what I've seen, he might be 20 but he's built like a man. Strong, quick, technical, plays between the lines but still quite rough around the edges and still quite inconsistent. Natural comparisons would be with Richarlison or perhaps a more physical version of Ayoze Perez. Apparently his work rate is top drawer too, so he's right up Eddie's street. In short, he can play anywhere across the front but he's not accomplished in any position yet but he's still probably going to offer more than Chris Wood.

81 pages man. Howe said "not entirely correct", in other words "its partially correct", which means we have pretty much agreed a deal. Don't fucking worry, we will either sign him or we will move onto another target. There's only 9 days of this shit left, so don't worry it will be over soon.
  13. Gomez, Milner, Elliott, Henderson, Firmino, in the side is not suggestive of a club who's had a great transfer window. They haven't progressed at all.

It's weird isn't it. Even good journalists get 1 wrong occasionally, Romano just keeps getting them right.

It will be down to structure and fees etc. There's no way it doesn't happen now. Especially now that Sarr has fallen through to Villa.

Need an Ornstein or a Leventhal to throw their hat into the ring.

It's good because I'm not THAT invested in this, so it's kind of funny watching the journos contradict one another. Romano will be right though. Edwards and Burt have been on the blower to each other. Could do with Ornstein as a ref.

Romanos 100% record on the line here.

This would have to be the first time he has got something wrong and that's incredibly unlikely. We've almost certainly agreed a fee but are still discussing payments.

    Get the yellow ticker going.

I'm aware of that but it's still a journalist putting their name to it.

Get in. Just need a few more to confirm.
  23. I'd like to think some sensible meetings have taken place over the weekend, where they discussed the potential position we are in and the value of perhaps over paying slightly in order to maximise the chance of us getting European football. Surely any 10m we might over spend, will be quickly offset by the money we would gain from finishing higher in the league and potential commercial deals from playing in Europe? I'm not for a second suggesting caving in to demands and throwing money around but if there's a small gap between a star like Maddison or Paqueta, we should do it.
