  1. We won't be signing a left back while Dummett, Lazaar, Haidara, Manquillo, Gamez and Clark can all play there. Dummett is a reliable defender. No he is not. Aye he is. He can't do anything, attacking wise, but as a defender he's fairly solid. I don't think I've seen us linked with any left backs who are better at defending than Dummett. Gibbs, perhaps, but his assets are mainly on the front foot. Either way, we won't be signing a left back until at least Haidara and Lazaar are off the books, which is understandable.

  3. Crouch to do Daryl Murphy's job.

    Loïc Remy

Remy for me, Ba was more physical though. Both very good for us, both money grabbing tossers. (And no, they didnt get success at Chelsea, those medals they have are worth much less from the bench)

    Andreas Samaris

What a Tragedy this thread is.

    Loïc Remy

Agree but Christ he was a good striker. Best weve had since Shearer?
  7. I loved Nolan, great knack of finding the net. I suspect De Jong has twice the footballing ability but I doubt we will ever see it for any length of time.

    Andreas Samaris

Yeah, certainly makes more sense. Merino is cheaper but more importantly has more about him (according to reports).
  9. Perhaps Rafa just wants a squad. Having 4 centre midfielders (Colback doesnt count) is hardly revolutionary. He won't be changing his formation.
  10. Wonder what he's saying at the talk-in.

    Emmanuel Rivière

I hope to God that this goes through. Imagine, actually getting money for him.

    Andreas Samaris

O jogo must literally be the pits if it's not true like. Banged on about Samaris all summer.
  13. It's quite feasible that the club would consider selling Colback if an offer came in. I can imagine a few Championship clubs being keen on him. We can only live in hope.
  14. Considering how often Lee Ryder likes to quash a rumour, it would have to be assumed that the targets the chronicle mention are legitimate. So even though they don't know all of our targets (Merino and Manquillo), they clearly know some of them and Ryder must have someone in the club who is at least willing to tell him who we are not interested in. I can imagine Rafa going for Adrian but largely because they are both Spanish.
  15. That's it Lee, you take your time. No rush.
  16. We definitely won't. This'll drag on and we won't see any incomings until he's gone. Aye, accept it on deadline, no replacement, Rafa walks.
  17. Mind you, none of it explains why it's only him. You would think Lazaar, Saivet and Haidara might be training with him. Very odd.
  18. It as probably just a case that Rafa hasn't seen the desire from him to get back into the squad. Compare him to De Jong, who is practically begging to be back in the fold.
  19. What does this even mean? How did he prop up Pardew's tenure? Well, I'm coming from the stand point of the rumours at the time. There were loads of stories that Coloccini, Jonas, Cabaye and Krul were trying to push out certain members of our squad; Ben Arfa, Marveaux, Mbiwa and Santon.
  20. Surely Clucas for 4m is a no brainer in today's market?
  21. He's part of a crew which helped prop up Pardew's tenure, along with Coloccini and co. I have little sympathy. He once had huge potential. That said, we need a new keeper very soon.
  22. Tbf they haven't which is why they're spunking ridiculous amounts on them. Phew, I was worried they wouldn't have any real quality at full back. < Cool Bruv?
  23. Phew, I was worried City wouldn't have any real options at fullback.
  24. So good having a manger who isn't happy with a draw away to Preston, even if it is a friendly. He's trying to keep/get standards high. Brilliant IMO.
