I actually think he's a genuine wonderkid. Have massive faith in him.
-
I don't think AVB fancies him and its probably the reason why we are being linked with him. Wouldn't suprise me if it's all his agent trying to drum up interest.
-
Its good to see Liverpool being consistent with their transfer policy.

Just guesswork, like most of the rags at the moment. None of them seem to have a clue what we are doing.
-
Definately going to happen in the next 14 days, definately.

Might be a giggs but SSN saying that Ajax are open to offers for Anita.

Sky reporting that Galatasary (sp) will be bidding for him, before the end of the month.

Goslings looking a bit better.

Vukic might aswell hang his boots up now according to these commentators.

I'm already convinced that Tavernier is a better player than Simpson.

Good to see marv.

Fuckin ESPN cunts. I saw it started at 6 so rushed around thinking that was kick off time. Got to wait half an hour now.

I love how much trouble we have caused Liverpool in the past year. Even if we don't sign Carroll, it was worth it for the laughs. Can't see us going anywhere near 15m, not unless we have a clause with them or something. Rodgers haas put himself in quite a sitution. 1-0 Parky, if Carroll is sold.
-
We are after the correct standard of players this year, which pleases me. Doubt we will see any Obertans. When we sign a player, I feel they will be of significant quality.
-
The Ba Carroll swap link was bound to come up. Carroll on loan would be a class addition, we could then look at the situation next season.
-
I think there is a lot of ego involved in our interest.
-
I'm not normally one to lose interest in transfers but it seems to be dragging on. Did someone say he was still on holiday? If he doesn't sign fairly quickly upon his return, I will start to get concerned.
-
Did Milan rule themselves out of a move for Carroll? Or indeed rule themselves in? If not, I can't see any other solution than a return here. Like it or not.
-
My take on the quotes is that Ashley/Lambias have gone off their own backs to try and sort a deal for Carroll but it's because they know Pardew rates him and they like the look of the price. In todays world of football it can't shock anybody that managers have nothing to do with transfer dealings and very little to do with what player we sign. If Carroll returns, Pardew will be happy.
-
Have we actually made a serious bid for him, or just a "cheeky" loan bid?

Harper Santon Simpson Willo Jonas Abeid Bigi Amalfitano Sammy Ba Sherla Surely?

Santon right back. Jonas left back.

The Carroll we get back won't be the one we sent down there. I have a feeling he may return with his tail between his legs. Pardew and Carver don't suffer fools lightly, especially Carver. If he was any threat to the dressing room harmony, there is no way we would be back in for him. In fact, i think Pardew and Carroll get on quite well. As i mentioned earlier, Dekka and Mike will never get stung on wages and transfer fees, so don't be worrying about that. The only arguement i can see for not bringing him back, is the one that he doesn't fit into our style of play and it's a valid one. I don't agree with the rest.

I can understand Rodgers wanting to get rid like. If he doesn't suit his plans, then he must go, regardless of the original transfer fee. I reckon this never would have happened if Comolli was still there but because they have got rid of him and Dalglish they can somehow justify selling him for a knockdown price. As for the way in which Rodgers has gone about it. Would or do players ever show the same respect to club when they throw transfer requests in every other season or blatantly whore themselves about behind their own clubs back? Football is a ruthless business, Rodgers is showing Carroll the same respect that Carroll gave us (allegedly).

In order to be a better side, we need more variety and depth in attack.
