This is what I think the team will be; Krul Tav Williamson Perch Taylor Amalfitano Anita Abeid Marveaux Shola Sammy
-
That Hazard is nearly as good as wor Hatem. Well apart from being 9 times the price.
-
Even the mindless speculation seems to have gone. This transfer window is blatently going down to the wire.

Impressed by the way the club are coping with the squad situation. Chelsea, Man City and even Tottenham to an extent (although that might not last long) can afford to pay big fees and big wages for players to sit on their bench. However we have gone out an picked up talented, hungry young players who are all desperate to play and added them to a mix of home grown youngsters. These players will feature and when injuries kick in they feature heavily, especially in Europe. The difference now is that an injury to Tiote might well be the making of a new star, rather than the end of our season. I have strong hopes for Sammy, I think he will be a star next year.

His technique is awful, as I said on a previous page. Obviously he has no footballing brain, which is what effects his skill on the ball. He makes the wrong choice on almost every occasion and on all the other occasions he doesn't deliver. When he scored at Blackburn the pass made the decision for him and because his mind was made up early he ended up doing everything correct. Anyway, to cut things short. He can play as a sub but he has no potential or future at this club.

Na, i'm happy here. I'm hoping Obertan will turn into a transfer, if i talk about him in here.
-
Yes you can.
-
One of Obertans worst points is his technique, not some sort of hidden quality that he just hasn't shown us yet. Obertan's only strength is pace and because of that he should just play as a substitute.
-
Still don't think we are interested.
-
No, we will start with 2 and move up to 3.
-
I cringed when I first saw people comparing him to Keiron Dyer
-
Be class if he does try to do that. They have the complete wrong players for that sort of system.
-
We just need to make one or two key signings for it to hve been a good window, which is well achievable.

So Liverpool finished 7th last year, which wouldn't be acceptable this year. So in an effort to finish higher, Rodgers is trying to buy players from his old club, who actually finished below Liverpool in the first place. Great logic Bren. What's worst is that the one player from Swansea who would have improved them, knocked them back for Spurs. Oh and if Rodgers sells Agger and Carroll and replaces them with Williams etc he wants shot. This season is going to be great.

3 days before the start of the season? Fucking hate internationals.

Its when Colo gets injured that I will get worried. He made Williamson look decent, Perch look excellent and I dare say he will be the best thing to happen to Curtis Goods career too. Any combination that includes Colo is fine, its the ones without him that scare the shit out of me.
-
Don't think we will sign a centre half now. I think we have kept our powder dry and are taking a risk on Curtis Good being a squad player. Perhaps our supposed suprised interest in a striker and centre midfielder are the reason behind this.
-
I'm not saying he will definately join us but I highly doubt he will join any other club with us sniffing about. Combine that with the probability that Liverpool want rid and there was only really one solution. The trouble is that we won't pay over the odds for anyone and Liverpool will want to save face in terms of a transfer fee. I think Carroll could play a big part if he is willing to drop his bonuses, wages etc to come back. I'd guess that he probably would, since he will have made a fortune in his first year at Liverpool.
-
Something daft like 18m.
-
Set up to join us TBH. I've always had my view that Newcastle and Carroll have an agreement that he will rejoin us, even if Liverpool want to dig their heels in. Liverpool will come under increasing pressure to let him go, the turning point will be when a player becomes available to Liverpool at the end of the window and they need to move Carroll on. The fact that Liverpool accepted a bid from West Ham means that they have a starting point for negotiations too. I can only see this ending in one way, if we still want him.

Have a suspicion we will see Benny and Cabs, it's the sort of game that Pards will see as 'risk free'. However, I highly doubt we will see Benny for the first game of the season. -
Having Cisse and Ba in the team means we are always in with a shout of winning any game. Having HBA and Cabaye gives us a much better opportunity to win games. Pards will be desperate to get them back into the fold but we can't rush them, Cabaye in particular has had long season.
-
We are proper bum fucking these lot like. It's quite clear that Debuchy wants to join us and because of that we are trying to fleece them. I've got a feeling we might get him with this bid, makes you wonder whether they haave quoted us a price. You can guarentee we won't give them what they ask for. A sell on clause is quite a concession from our guys, something which I presume has been asked for by Lille.

It Pardew manages to get back to back top 6 finishes he will have done a brilliant job. Which is basiclly the positive version of what HTT said.

I love the way a few people have turned "not worth the money" into "he's a really poor player". He's not a poor player, nor is he worth that mount of money but let's not be silly. We wouldn't be weakening our squad if we signed Carroll but there would be a fair arguement to say we could have strengthened more with that amount of money.
