  1. Honestly? I beg you to watch Scholes very closely. His passing is unbelievable compared to Lampards. Scholes vision is superb. I can't think of one aspect of Lampards game that is better than Scholes.. apart from tackling.
  2. Now fair is fair. Any critisism you have of Lampards goal record you could have of Shearers. Lots of penalties and tap in's etc. However, the stats can't be denied, it's not luck, it's a skill. I don't think he's a great passer, he's the worst of the four above.
  3. I've always been confused by this. Despite the stats i've never rated him as highly as other players. He's obviously a very good player but he will never be among the greats in my eyes.
  4. Hope the little welsh cunt retires. I actually think he will. His career ended in Liverpool.
  5. In their prime all of these players could have gone anywhere in the world? They have all been great at some stage.
  6. Carrying other players doesn't make you the best though. Liverpool haven't had a great side in years (good ones of course) but not great. How would Gerrard look in some of the great teams of the last ten years, alongside better players? My guess is worse not better. Don't get me wrong, Gerrard is a brilliant player for Liverpool and this thread is much of muchness but Scholes has more talent.
  7. P.S I'm glad other people agree on Scholes.
  8. Scholes is the best midfielder i've ever seen play. He also used to do it for England too. In fact i'd have him in South Africa.
  9. Ashley will add the amount of money owed to him onto the sale of the club, when he decides to sell.
  10. Ashley's recieved far more from transfer fee's than he has spent, correct? Everything else that has caused his financial plight is down to his own mistakes, misjudgments and poor decision making.... including buying the club from the previous set of nob-heads. I almost get the feeling Ashley (and his mouthpiece) feel like we owe them something, which is a sickening thought.
  11. I wonder if KingDawson can update us on any possible movement on the O'Hara front. From the outside, it looks as though he has no real future at Spurs and his days at Portsmouth are all but finished. However, you would suspect that he would have plenty of clubs after him.
  12. Higuain is class like. Would be a great signing for Man City.
  13. Ambrose would be a very sensible signing.
  14. Williamson = 26 Routledge = 25 Best = 23 Simpson = 23 I dont class any of them as young footballers. Beg your pardon, i mean players with someting to prove. None of them are old either like.
  15. It would have been daft for them to raise the prices anyway.
  16. Harper Simpson Williamson Coloccini Enrique Smith Nolan Guthrie Jonas Carroll Lovenkrands 2-0
  17. should go all out for Dorrans even if West Brom go up. Quality player Very good player in the championship. Not convinced he will make it in the premiership. He is one to watch though, so at a fair price, might be worth the risk.
  18. Hughton seems to be looking for young British players, if the last window is anything to go by, or at least players who won't upset the applecart. O'Hara fits into a similar catagory.
  19. That's the difference a few wins (and a goal) makes. We'll see a different set of opinions soon.
  20. I don't think he will ever make it. Can't put my finger on it because he's an exciting lad but i think he might just lack consistency or the mental strength. Still time though.
  21. I'd say in the last three he's looked a better player, in fairness the team as a whole has improved though. He also looks better alongside Guthrie. Nowt to do with him being unfit though.
  22. I'm with Ronaldo on this. The guy is carrying excess weight, and he does tire too easily. I do think it's also partly because of the amount of games he's played without a break. There's a clear difference between him at the start of the season and now, and I think its burnout. However, he's simply too chubby around the midriff. To say he could burn off a few pounds, is different from him being unfit and unprofessional though? Of course he's not the slimest player on the planet but i don't think he would ever look thin compared to most footballers.
  23. Form? Or is that too sensible. He's been pretty good in the last few games, how do you explain that? I suppose he's bought a new engine.
