You mean the 11 that has let in the least goals in the league, is unbeaten and currently sitting at fourth. Hardly the sort of thing that makes me angry.

Im quite happy with our transfer policy, i'd just like them to make more signings and not promise things without delivering. Not fussed either way whether Pardew has a say or not, so long as the system works and all parties are happy with it (including Pardew). By the way i firmly believe Ba was Pardew's choice, this would suggest that he has some say.

He's proved me wrong so far, i still think there is one error in him somewhere down the line, however the same could be said of Coloccini and Enrique when he was here. I don't think he's good enough for England, although then again some people still think Carragher (not on here i hope) should be in the England squad. By the way, the main reason why his form has improved isn't down to Coloccini (although he is a big part of it), it's because he has remained fit for a good run of games, something he has failed to do in the past.

Spurs couldn't afford him. If he has to go somewhere, i'd like it to be one of the big ones in europe, Milan's etc but most of these clubs are in a similar position.

I just feel sorry for them TBH. Actually i don't but they are too pathetic to hate.

Or trying to get a role in "the hills have eyes 3".

Coyle really just doesn't inspire does he? Constantly going on about "effort and determination" in his boring accent.
-
What's worse is having to listen to ray Wilkins masturbate about Frank Lampard.
-
Can't believe how poor Bolton are. There is some dross in this league at the moment.
-
The real question is, is he any good? What type of player is he?
-
He's a good guy to have in your squad.

Lamps, typical Lamps.

Owen Coyle's job on the line?
-
Did Onuoha end up joining Bolton? The sort of player we could get on the cheap from Man City and would slot in perfectly at right back (and centre half).

I'd feel very harsh dropping Best out of the team and i really don't think Pardew will have any intention of swapping Jonas to the right, nor should he. Marveaux is a very clever footballer who likes to drift anyway, so i suggest sticking him on the right and let him roam when we attack. Some very tough choices for Pardew, do you change a winning side whilst you have obvious talent on the bench? On the other hand, Spurs are a different animal to anything we have played so far.

SUNDEDIA at work again i see.

I heard David James state that he thought Reina is the best keeper in the league... i respectfully disagree. I think Krul has the most talent, just needs more and more experiance.
-
Ben Arfa (and Santon), the point is valid but not with Marveaux imo, unless he has some serious fitness issues that we're not being told about. He might as well be injured all season if he's only going to be able to complete 90/120 minutes in the Carling Cup and can't even manage 20 in the Premier League. Very odd. There's no excuse for sending Lovenkrands on ahead of Sammy either. Lovenkrands offers absolutely no attributes that you might need when defending a lead while Sammy clearly does, namely pace and the ability to push the opposition back by taking them on, even if he is inexperienced. Some good points Wullie. I understand what your saying about Marveaux but i think Pardew would love to play him but really doesn't want to change an unbeaten side. Ok he could have brought him off the bench today but only Pardew could explain his tactical reasons for not doing so. Eventually we will get beat and Pardew will have more reason to mix things up abit. We will surely start picking up injuries too soon, which will make his decisions mush easier.

Best hasn't been our best player in the last 2 games. OK thanks for clearing that up.
-
I don't rate Best as highly as some people doand I know that I might be the one in the wrong but I'll go with what I think. Best does very little for me even if he has improved his game over the last couple of seasons, I can see him going on a run of games without doing much, especially against the better teams. Best has been our best player in our last 2 games, he has come on leaps and bounds as a footballer. He looks an all-round better player than a few months ago. I've noticed a swagger about him recently too, which is great to see.

Krul Simpson Taylor Coloccini Santon Tiote Cabaye Obertan Jonas Ba Best I've got the last 3 right so far: 1-1 Hard selection for Pardew; Santon, Marveaux and Ben Arfa will be desperate to play now. I think he will hold out for one more game on Ben Arfa and Marveaux. I think he will have to play Santon. Lets hope they all come back in good shape from the internationals, that might play a part in his decision making.

We were always going to come under the cosh in the second half, we held out (just) and have had a spectacular start to the season. Two week break now, let's prepare for that.
