Not convinced we were ever in for those players.
-
We would be cutting off our nose to spite our face. If they have to sell a player to get him in then they should do it. Nobody wants our players. That's why we have them. Hmm not strictly true. I reckon their are a few squad players who we could sell. Someone like Taylor would be a worth while sacrifice to get Ben Arfa in permenantly. We might even make a profit.

You reckon this will be a sell out?
-
I can't imagine we have simply "given up" on signing him. The question is whether we would give in to their demands in order to get him. If we did, then i still think he would choose us over Bremen as he has/had his heart set on us.
-
Agreed. I don't doubt that Ben Afra is capable of a u-turn but not in the space of a couple of hours.
-
How new is this? If this is true then this saga has a lonnnnggggg way to go.
-
Like i say, the press are playing guessing games. If he's confident of getting players in, i'd be suprised is one of them wasn't Ben Arfa.
-
Man Utd are class, we did well to hold out for 30mins and nearly go in front. We learned nothing about where the two clubs are at. We are in for a tough season but we showed signs of organisation and team spirit which should help us in our quest for safety. I think Barton will get better and better.
-
The press don't know what's going on and that's because everything has gone quiet. I'm not worried by the silence.
-
The deal will always be a serious possibility up until the transfer window closes. I can't see him staying at Marseille TBH and we are his likely destination.
-
Disagree. I think he would bloody love to pull on the toon top, even if it was to wind us up a bit. We have a love/hate relationship. I think he has a soft spot for us.
-
If we can convince Man City to pick up part of his wages, then i'd be well up for a loan with a view to a permenant. TBF Man City don't give a fuck about money, surely something could be sorted out if we could convince Bellamy himself (who wouldn't take much convincing IMO). Fuck Ben Arfa, Bellamy would keep us up, if we could keep him fit.

Them taches are going to be on there for the whole season

The prospect of Vuckic teaching Ben Arfa a trick or two is mouth watering.

Bigged up and brought back down to earth. http://www.independent.co.uk/multimedia/archive/00039/wright_39670t.jpg The list is endless. Oh and it could quite easily happen with either of our two young keepers.
-
 Heads up, smart arse is on the case. I better watch what i say or super fan will get me. I'm well aware that Hart has been around for a couple of years and has shown himself to be a good young keeper but the exact same thing was said about Carson, Green, Robinson and Kirkland, all of which haven't lived up to their expectation. Lets see how he copes after his first mistake. Anyone who uses smiley faces as a reply is a c***, glad i could help. Only kidding, don't hurt me
-
Oh and i wasn't saying that Kirkland and Carson (or Robinson or Green, who i also mentioned) were better prospects than Hart, only that they were bigged up, shortly before being brought back down to earth.
-
Why couldn't have you said this in the first place instead of being clever? I agree that Hart is a very good young prospect, which is what i said in the first place but is he the finished article? i'm not convinced. More importantly i don't think we will find out what he is made of until he plays some big games (yesterday was the start of that). I too have watched Given for the time he had been at Newcastle and yes he did have flaws, including kicking and comunication. However, i will not forget the times he was the difference between a win and a draw or a draw and a defeat. Mancini clearly does think Hart was the better choice but i don't agree (even if his performance was excellent) and there are many things that Mancini does that i don't agree with. Hart may be a good young keeper, he even become one of the best we have ever produced, therefore i can see why Mancini is gave him the nod over Given but he will have to be f***ing good to be better than Given on his day.

At least others had the decency to make a comment, you once again decided to be clever. When did you become such a hot shot on this forum? I remember the days when people used to frequently laugh at your ridiculous posts, until you created this god complex. Perhaps you would get more respect by debating people's points rather than being a clever shit. Although respect isn't something you want, i'm well aware of that. Kirkland is a former international and used to player for Liverpool, or did that erase from your memory? I along with alot of other people considered him one mof the most talented young keepers we had, until his career was hit my constant injury. Admittedly his career has faded somewhat but that only adds to my point with Hart, it's amazing how the tide turns. As for Carson, he too was decent prospect but the not strongest example i could have given. Hart's an excellent young keeper but to say he's better than someone with over 100 international caps and 400 premiership appearances, as well as Champions league games is, quite frankly, "funny"... so wise up.

I'll take that as you conceding defeat.

Did OM say they were to discuss the situation after the weekend then?
-
Am i right in thinking that he says a deal should be sorted tuesday or was he reffering to the debacle of last tuesday?
