Haha, Berbatov to city for a british transfer record is on.
-
Not Larsson then you fucking dickhead? 'NEWCASTLE United were hoping to tie up a £5m-plus deal for Deportivo La Coruna striker Francisco Jimenez Tejada before the transfer window slams shut at midnight tonight. The word from Spain today was that the 26-year-old player, dubbed Xisco, has already agreed to join his former Deportivo colleague Fabricio Coloccini at St Jamess Park.' He can't even get things right after copying his articles from elsewhere That's beyond funny. Surely he's been reading the wrong thread because Nacho is the one who is 26, what a dickhead.
-
Nacho is a midfielder, Owen is a striker. I can't see the comparison. If we play this lad, it will be in midfield.
-
Rumour that City have launched a bid for Berbatov. I would be shocked if that happened though.
-
I think we might sign Malouda before the window is out. Has anyone mentioned that we have been linked with Butelle the Valencia keeper. R.E Owen, no chance he will end up at Everton.
-
Where is this confirmed, nowt on .co.uk?
-
Bugger, still one can hope. At least if we wrap up Xisco he will be moved down the pecking order.
-
Nope, the Milner sale demonstrates how insane things are getting. He cost more than Nasri FFS. And potentially Guthrie, Jonas and Xisco put together.
-
from the Deportivo forums Xisco also suffers from the occassional muscular problems but if KK wants a target man alongside the likes of Owen/Martins, he could fill that role well and chip in with a few goals too. I think his team play has been his most improved attribute in the last year. His holding up of the ball with his back to goal, thus allowing the midfield to join the attacks was a feature of last year that really improved noticeably. He's also a brave striker, not scared to roll his sleeves up and get stuck in, which will no doubt go down well with the Geordie faithfull. He's not exactly lightning quick but for a target man, he has a turn of speed. *Drool*

Do i fuck! 5.7m for Xisco or 8m for heskey? Hmm.....
-
This day could end up with us effectively spending £2.7m on his getting rid of Smith and bringing in a quality new striker. IF that happens i will jizz my pants.
-
Interested to see what this guy is all about. Hopefully he will be good foil for Owen. I love new strikers.

"Ashley wants to sell" Blah. -
A bit of sense. We do need a replacement but it won't take THAT much to replace and average player.
-
Makes you wonder why they bothered to sign him then... ... they have just signed him right? I'm not missing something am i? He signed for Valencia today. It is thought that Valencia owned half his economic rights, as is the practice at Spanish clubs atmo, but exercised their option to buy him outright in the attempt to get more money from him in the future. If that is the case, then it would be an excellent move by us. With Valencia's money problems we could snap him up next year.... providing he impresses.

Is anyone happy signing a Spurs reject and two unknowns (one who has just literally been signed by a club then loaned out)?? I am not. I expect to see the 12m Milner money invested along with a few more million on players saying as we have probably made a net profit from selling/buying players this summer despite our squad being so threadbare. Spurs reject? In the same way that Guthrie was a Liverpool reserve? Come off it. Just because a player isn't one managers cup of tea doesn't mean they will be a "failure" everywhere they play. As for unknown, had you heard of Jonas? I hadn't.
-
Before the Chelsea game kicked off, he was talking from Villa Park and said "I played with Robbie Keane at Liverpool". Oh dear Jamie. He said Tottenham didn't he? I would swear he said Liverpool because I remember shouting at him straight away and noticing that my missus didnt give a fuck at what I was saying Aye he did, i picked up on it.
-
What? Did you just contradict yourself in the same sentence? That's what i thought.
-
Completely disagree with your valuation of Frazer Campbell Yorkie. As you say, the player has not proved himself in the top flight, therefore IMO 7m is ridiculas money. For that money they could buy a number of players who would perform better in this league. It's just bad business.
-
You don't seriously expect Redknapp to make sense. Just wait until Spurs, Liverpool, Pompey or Chelsea are on the agenda. Biased twaddle.
-
He's a right knob like. Sad state of afairs when Glenn Hoddle is the one talking sense.
-
Absolutely, KK was hardly going to say that he was a shite player when asked the other day. Interested to see where he goes.
-
Not arsed about losing him.
-
Who's the bloke next to him? It's the same bloke who was standing near SBR on that famous morning he was sacked, when leaving the training ground but i don't know what he does at the club. Kitman?
