I would pick: Harper Beye Diatta Faye Enrique Geremi Emre* Milner* N'Zogbia Viduka* Martins * Could someone tell me the fitness situation on Viduka, Emre and Milner? Milner must be injured if he's having a scan!

Wrong, when we were in the top four under bobby our support was great. We sang at every match then as well. that was the point i was making Sorry mate, i'm very tired. Just wanted someone to argue with Freddy Sheppard is the worst thing to happen to this club..... *awaits Ne5*

100% i'd say. Yes but you are missing the point of the thread. I wasn't claiming that our home crowds are better than all of the away ones a SJP. I was saying that our home cround is ALOT better than liverpools on the evidence of the weekend. In short, when someone wins a challenge/throw in at SJP, they get a roar. None of that at Liverpool, just silence throughout. Thats cause we don't really give a shit about Newcastle, and expect a fairly routine win. When the big clubs visit, or our small neighbours, we'll get up for it. # Haha pathetic. So your fans are the "bestest" yet cant be arsed to sing, against us. Newcastle fans sing everyweek more than that, therefore we are better fans. You should your name to "youcanthearme".

He never looks like giving the ball away but his positional sense isn't the best. In terms of attacking players, he was one of our best in the second half. Im not going to critisise the lad too much because he's hardly had a run in the team.

If Martins had a full season in the premierleague i'd put money on him getting 20 goals.

Keegan is our manager at the start of next season, regardless.

Relegation - will we or won't we? *NO FIXTURE LISTS PLEASE*

This. It's very important, but we shouldn't assume defeat means disaster (well, worse disaster than we're in). A win would be a huge bonus - i reckon we could push on for europe actually. I take it your jokin about Europe... or on crack. Apart from that, i too, agree with Wullie. -
What i went for Make it three Purely on form

Amazing that the vote is split. Pretty much sums up the feeling TBH. My heart tells me we will be in the premierleague. My heads calling my heart a pussy. -
We played 4411 Which means, as you say, he was just off Owen. Might as well be as negative as playing 451. MARTINS MUST START OR WE WILL GET RELEGATED
-
I agree with most of this. If we were in form, i wouldn't be worried but we simply dont look like winning.

Sorry to dissapoint you but were not there to entertain you. At the moment we have a problem with about twenty thousand day tripping new age soccer am fans in the ground, and about twenty thousand lads that carnt be arsed going in anymore (for the reasons you say) drinking in pubs around the ground or in town. Thing is though, excuses are excuses. We have all the same problems and more (because we are shite). You may not be here to entertain us but if i hear a Liverpool fan claiming they have anything other than an average volume in their stadium, they are going to get a lug full.

Bolton and Sunderland have the worst run ins. Our hope remains on our 3 home fixtures.
-
I'm bricking it. I've put all of my hopes on us beating Sunderland and Fulham at home and right now we dont look like doing that. My thread of optimism comes from the fact that Oba will have proved he is worth a start under KK.
-
I'm positive Smith wont be picked for the next game. The only chance of that happening is if KK drops Owen to play Smith and Oba up front because their is no chance of SMith playing in midfield after Saturday.
-
Thing is though. I was terrified going to anfield because i was worried that the Liverpool fans would be as good as they were made out to be and quash my theory about us being the greatest Over the last 4 years i've been to SJP about 40/50 times and on not one of those occasions have our home fans been as bad as liverpools were at the weekend. We AT LEAST have the level 7 boys doing us proud in every game. Liverpool had one chorus of "stevie gerrard" after they scored and that was it. Whats worse is that Newcastle is an easy club to sing against because we've won fuck all. They could n't even be arsed to do that. I'm not doubting that in europe they have some magical nights but those are the easiest games to get up for because you have all afternoon to get pissed after work. I won't think of Liverpool fans the same ever again.
-
Thing is though, my opinion hasn't changed since the liverpool game. We were always going to get a pasting there. Hopefully we will get something at Brum and then we MUST beat Fulham or we will go down for sure.
-
For all of those who were at the match yesterday you will know exactly what i'm talking about, Liverpools fans were terrible. Literally the worst noise from home fans i've ever heard. Embarrasing. Shame our players were as bad their fans.
-
I love watching Arsenal play, absolutely fantastic. Shame there aren't a couple more englishmen in their side.

what channel are arsenal on 120 mate itv 4

Man City two years ago. We got the left overs from the shearer testimonal scarves, Souness last game. Everyone in the crowd waving them scarves was absolutley amazing. Villa a month ago. Mike Ashley going through our turnstile, i got a chant started "there's only one mike ashley".

the change in performances, and I agree they haven't been "drastic" but they HAVE been a canny bit better, have convinced me that KK will do the job again, providing he has the backing of the board and the time to do it. The spirit on saturday on the back of the last few weeks was excellent, as was the determination to try and force the game, apply pressure etc all Keegans methods. There is no doubt that we lack the quality to make these tactics really count, but it IS the way to play if you are aiming for success, and he's doing it already. This is the big question though. There is a case for playing to strengths, many teams recognise they don't have the ability to play an open game and so play a tighter game to get the points. We maybe could be doing this but it isn't Keegans way. The "tactical nous" people may jump on this and they do have a point in the current situation. Whatever happens I'm backing Keegan, because with support of his board, he'll leave us better off than where he found us and if the unthinkable happens I won't blame him, everything we have as a club now is down to him and he deserves the slack to get on with restoring the club back to where he left it the last time. Very sensible post. I too have see enough from KK to suggest the old magic can be reborn. Providing the two things you mention happen, A) We beat the drop and B) He gets the correct funds.

Seems to me people want to whine about the situation for the sake of whining. Since Keegan arrived there's been a drastic improvement in tactics, performances and passion. People whining have no suggestions who we should have signed . The people we approached goes to show how loathe players are to come. If you blame Keegan and the fortnight he had with an open window when he arrived for our current position rather than Allardyce and the 8 months he took to build the most tepid team I've seen at St James', you're a moron. I agree.
