I f Shelvey had played last night he would have been crunched every time he got near the ball the same as they did to Gayle and would maybe have lost his rag and got booked/sent off. If I hadn't seen his name on the team sheet I wouldn't have realised he was playing. Can only pass 5 yards square or backwards, can't tackle without getting booked. I can't believe that Rafa doesn't see the urgent need for a quality midfielder and get someone in immediately. Even if it is someone overpriced it will be cheaper than tumbling down the table and missing out on promotion.

Wigan were crap and didn't really look like ever scoring. We created a few chances, scored 2, 3 points and job done. Another step nearer. These are games we used to lose with regularity under Pards so nice to win ugly now and then. Not a great spectacle but that was mainly down to the way Wigan were set up

Where are these 'Highly charged players' in the SPL. I lived up there for 15 years and saw quite a lot of games which were marginally better than pub football. Let's face it if any of us on this forum took over Celtic or Rangers we'd finish first or second. Ridiculous that they only have 10 teams in the division which means the top two get to play the crap teams below 4 times. It's like having 12 points start. Good luck to Cathro, hopefully he's learned a lot with Rafa and seen what not to do with McLaren, hopefully Hearts is just a stepping stone for him
