  1. Posts like this add fuel to the fire. The Keegan brand of football is already 5 times as good to watch as that served up by Sam, the winning will come soon
  2. This season we have seen nothing of the Martins of last season, explosive pace and a shot like a bullet. Remember the one against Spurs last season? incredible. Keegan will play to his strengths and not try and make him into a right midfielder. We played very well with 2 little guys up front in Beardo and Cole and we can do it again. Play Martins and Owen with Viduka on the bench if we need to change it a bit. Ameobi and Smith I'd be happy to never see again
  3. Did Zoggy sign for us exclusively as a left winger or did he sign to be a member of the team/squad? Personally, if he wants to go to Spurs let him. He's full uf hustle and bustle and running but lacks composure and vision. Has an attitude problem as well. KK will build his new side with people who pass the ball quickly and effectively, Zoggy may not fit the bill. Get rid of him in a deal bringing Bent and Defoe to us.
  4. I think he is pissed off at not being offered the Newcastle job and these latest remarks are him spitting his dummy out. I read one article which says there is bad blood between him and KK. Goes back to Shearers testimonial when he asked KK to play. KK said he couldn't because he was on holiday in Florida with his family. The report said that Shearer was annoyed and has not spoken to Keegan since.

    Kevin Keegan

I said it would be a mistake for him to come back but now that it's happened I'm thrilled to bits and excited. It would be a dream come true if he could finish the job he started. For those who think that this is a lousy move by Ashley, just think, he is a business man and appointing Keegan is a commercial masterstroke, the coffers will be swelled to bursting point
  6. While he has no managerial experience, he is the only man I know who could handle the passion and be given instant respect. Unless you live, or have lived in the area and been a part of the experience, you could never ever understand what it is like to be a part of this club. Sam had a lot of experience but he was completely overwhelmed by the Newcastle experience and just couldn't handle it. Roy Keene had no experience but he has taken his team from the relegation area of the championship to the premiership. Redknapp says that he is a fantastic manager and will go all the way. We've had experienced managers, even a hard man like Souness could not handle the passion and was eventually destroyed. Keeping the dressing room right, having a relationship with us and understanding what it is all about, for me there is only one man.
  7. Shearer should cut a deal with Ahley like 'I'll take over until the end of the season for nothing' that would take all of the pressure of him in terms of failure and give him a look at the job. All winners no losers
  8. The comments on Sky text by the Spurs Chairman/owner who is a big pal of Ashleys, summed it up. He said that 'mike has spent 250 mil on NUFC and he came here with a plan. That plan was to bring to Newcastle what he and the fans wanted, good attacking football. Sam wasn't appointed by Mike but he thought okay, lets see if he can deliver what we want' He went on to say that when Mike makes up his mind anout something he doesn't hang around. I was shocked at the sacking but to be honest, the football served up by Sam was some of the worst I have ever endured. One shot at goal against Derby sums it up. As far as comments about us not being in any trouble and 11th place is not bad is a joke. With the squad that we have they should manage 11th place without a manager. I am trying not listen to all of the crap that's flying around in the media. I keep telling myself that Ashley already has the man in his pocket who he wants.
  9. It could be that arrogant little bastard from Celtic.
  10. I thought that Faye was outstanding, Alan Smith had no impact on the game whatsoever, apart from giving away one of his trademark free kicks on the edge of our box. Nothing wrong with the result either. If that match had come anytime during the last 3 seasons we would have been steamrollered out of it.
  11. I know it's not great but we must stick with it. Watching last nights game I thought we had improved from a month ago. There was very little hoofing the ball up the middle as before, in fact the first half we played some decent football. Sadly it breaks down around their penalty box. We are crying out for someone with the craft of Solano or the direct running of Dyer. Our midfielders just don't seem to get past our front men. In terms of Sams 'bad buys' I tend to disagree. Some of them are good, the biggest disappointment to me has been Barton. I thought at the time that he could be a great signing. Alan Smith gets lots of stick and I think that as a midfielder he is crap. As a striker he is marginally better but hasn't scored a premiership goal for about 2 years, says it all really. Oh by the way, didn't Ferguson also buy him, nobody gets it right every time
  12. Big Sam needs time. He has come into a club like no other on the planet. Of course he is using his Bolton methods, they worked for him there. He is learning very quickly that life as NUFC manager has different demands. Give him time and he will slowly adjust to the needs and in the meantime build some solid foundations for the years to come. Okay, some of his signings don't seem to be working yet but Wenger and Ferguson don't get it right every time either. On the positive side, 'Is Faye better than Bramble? Is Beye better than Carr?' Zoggy was was on his way out of the door also. It is about building a side, not buying one like Chelsea then being burdened with £260 million of debt for the forseeable future.
  13. It should be remembered that Sam has brought in several players who have not played in the Premiership before. Sometimers it can take a season to adjust and they must be given time. It will take most of the season for Sam to wash out the old crap and start to bring some stability. Incidentally, one thing does bother me, how is it that we seem to be so often beaten by 'wonder goals' like yesterday, like Derby, like reading etc. It happens to us more often than other teams and I just wonder if Given may not be quite good enough. I know he's a great shot stopper but I have always thought that he is not quite big enough, doesn't command his box and gets beaten an awful lot from distance
  14. I wonder if Big Sams super duper computer programme that produces all the statistics tell him how many times we thump the ball up the middle from our own half. I'd love to know that figure.
  15. Owen also said that a lot of how you performed was down to how you coped under pressure. He cited how top sportsmen like Tiger Woods performed really well under pressure. He said that that when players couldn't cope with pressure they resorted to the easy option and hoofed the ball up the middle. This was in reference to England but could easily apply to NUFC. The pressure against Croatia was enormous and the players couldn't handle it. Owen is 100% correct
  16. Norwich promoted and Newcastle relegated, Roeder waves to us as we slide down..........

    TRAGIC NEWS

Big Sam has blocked a move by Glen Roeder to take Ameobi on loan. Sam said "Shola is going nowhere, he is very much a part of my plans" etc................ Oh shit
  18. jackyboy

    Tim Krul

He's getting a hell of a lot of practice and managing to keep the scores in single figures. The defence in front of him is attrocious, no better than your average Sunday morning pub teams
  19. Things don't change overnight. Some people have short memories regarding what we had 3 months ago, a defence studded with stars like Ramage, Babyaro, Bramble, Taylor, Carr to name but a few. The players brought in have never played together and Sam is still in the trying out stage to see what works best.
  20. It puts our season in perspective when you look at the tables, We are only 6 points ahead of Fulham and Fulham have only won 2 games from 12 starts. That's how good we are, and, soon we travel to Fulham
  21. jackyboy

    Joey Barton

He needs to play CM not on the right. I think he still needs another couple of games to get to full fitness. I think Sam is playing him anywhere just to get games under his belt
  22. Wants to sign Shearer apparently
