  1. I really miss him already, great manager just misunderstood
  2. Bit of a pointless exercise lots of this. What is the point of banners of Ashley out of our club etc.......He bloody owns it and will do whatever he wants, it is his club not ours. He will select a manager that suits his needs and future plans. Football has changed, managers do not exist in the old sense, they are now coaches. The people above choose who to buy, who to sell then it is up to the coach to get the best out of those players in terms of results and hopefully increase their value so that they can be sold at a profit. Probably the last manager I remember being given cart blanch to buy and sell was David O'Leary at Leeds. Bought a team to win the champions league and it totally backfired, a disaster they have yet to recover from. The whinging on here about us selling our best players and so on makes us look an absolute joke, did Manu not sell their best player Ronaldo, Liverpool and Suarez, Spurs and Bale? It goes on all the time because it is a business, it is not run to satisfy the whims of deluded supporters and the sooner we realise and accept that the better. Before you start to bleat, I am not new to this forum and I have supported Newcastle for over 60 years.
  3. Bryan Robson is out of work, a Geordie and available. I am absolutely dreading the final outcome of this. Hard to get worse that Pardew but Ashley has shown that anything's possible
  4. I would imagine that our current shit manager will be replaced by another shit manager in the style of Bruce, Pullis, McLaren, Mark Hughes and so on. Never known an industry where so many crap managers keep on getting another job having failed time and again previously. Oh I forgot there is also Ally McCoist twiddling his thumbs up in Glasgow
  5. If we sell Sussuko in January we will be relegated. I believe he is more important to this side than Cabaye was to the previous

    Alan Shearer

There was another knock on effect from that great season. We were 'The entertainers' , everyone wanted to watch us and the neutrals wanted us to win. We launched Sky Sports on the road to where it is today.
  7. In Response to SanToon Good post and I am exactly where your dad is. 70 years old now and supported the lads from age of 6 when my dad first took me. Been through lots of highs and lows, was at the Fairs Cup Final etc, but always kept the faith, until now. My interest and belief has been totally destroyed and for the first time in my life I am hoping they lose in the hope that it will bring about some changes. I mean, that is so sad but I can't help it

As much as we would all love to see change, I think we need to accept certain things. Ashley owns the club and has turned it around financially, all credit to him for that. He will not bow to pressure from fans or anywhere else because he is the boss, he chooses who works for him and he has stood firm, I commend him for that also. If he decides to change the manager it will be done when he wants it and that is when he sees it as the right time, quite right too. He has made many mistakes and he knows that, and he not stupid enough to not learn from it. Yesterday was a massive improvement in performance from us against a poor Hull side who have spent a lot of money and are managed by Bruce the failure, the man who some fans want here. Ashley will not stand by and watch the club get relegated without changing things. Perhaps yesterdays improved performance was down to Pardew getting a massive bollocking and him in turn kicking the players into shape, we will see. I think we will pick up 4 points from our next 2 away games and we will move on. Incidentallly, I am not a Pardew fan, I've supported this club for nearly 65 years and have seen many ups and downs
  9. No Redknapp on the list?? Ashley tried to get him once before and the QPR situation is dicey right now
  10. With all what has gone on with JFK, Cabaye etc he has kept his mouth shut but must have been on the verge of exploding for months. This little incident has just pushed him over the edge
  11. Don't think it was anything to do with budgets. I just think JFK was completely out of his depth. These big money agents who are acting on behalf of the players these days would see Kinnear as a joke and so would the players. If you were a potential signing and you listened to him spouting off as he did when he first came what would you think? Utter pratt and the club would be tarred with the same brush
  12. impossible to compare as they were totally different types of player. Andy Cole was terrific with Beardsley buzzing around him and Shearer and Les were a great partnership during which time Shearer produced his best football for the club

    Tony Green

A terrific player, one of the best I've ever seen. I was at the Crystal Palace game with my dear old dad (now long gone) when Tony sustained his fateful injury. There was no one near him, he just turned and collapsed in a heap, you could tell it was serious straight away
  14. Could it be that we are winning these 'big games' because of the tactical know how of JFK/ Maybe he inputs the opposition into his phone and hits speed dial and there are the tactics.
  15. Bring Dunnett in, it could be the making of a superstar
  16. Time for Alan to bring some defenders on and close this game out
  17. jackyboy

    Alan Pardew

I really think that JFK would be no worse than Pardew............only for the short term that is
  18. jackyboy

    Alan Pardew

Last 3 home games against mediocre opposition should have been 9 points. Instead we have 4. We will not survive with that sort of return from home games
  19. Sports Direct website announce that Man U are in for Cabaye
  20. Ashley should sell the whole lot, players I mean, get his money back and close it down.
  21. If Ameobi starts then I stop. Been a supporter for 60 years but decided that I'd rather not bother than endure another season of frustration with that lazy donkey leading the attack
  22. jackyboy

    Alan Pardew

no Europa fiasco, usual quick exit from the domestic cups......so why do we need more players says Ashley, we can just finish 5th again and maybe buy someone then?????
  23. If Shola had a dead leg, how can you tell the difference????? Why did we not sign Ince while we were up there?
