  1. I didn't realise you had to have a season ticket to have an opinion.
  2. He wasn't great but I wouldn't say he was poor. (His set pieces were mind).
  3. I already know you're a WUM but I might as well argue back because it's so easy. First, Bolton have done pretty well for themselves in the past years, haven't they? Secondly, are you naive enough to think that Big Sam can only make his team play one type of footbal?
  4. Man, f*** this. I hope Ashley heard the booing and he up and leaves with Allardyce and they take over at Middelsbrough. That'll learn yous lot! That way we can get Warnock in or something ... it's truly what we probably deserve. Ignore G Mac, he's not worth it.
  5. Wow, very generous ratings. We were average today, out of all our players only Rozehnal and Milner deserve 7's
  6. So by your logic Man Utd are suddenly a team who aren't very good and can only draw games? I think you're just a WUM, boring as hell really.
  7. wot crime did you commit to be put inside? I've been in and out of jail all my life, but i have also been a total toon supporter all my life and all i've ever seen is players being paid silly money to do f*** all on the field,i'd do anything thing to be paid that type of money, but these c***s just take it for granted. They were trying their best, you can't deny that....although I get the feeling you will try to
  8. Are you a bitter Bolton fan? Sounds like it. Terrible performance last week wasn't it?
  9. I disagree totally about Martins. He'd completely disappeared from the game in the second half. We started the second half slowly as a team though. If Martins dissapeared then what did Owen do? Our attacker all "dissapeared" as he puts it. Of course they did, they didn't have any service from midfield...not much they can do apart from drop deep, which you don't really want as you need men up front.
  10. Go "support" someone else then. This was our SECOND game of the season against a decent side. We have had complete change at every level and we're not going to win every match.
  11. You're spot on there, some of the reactions to our performance are incredible.
  12. Exactly what he said the thing is, its the first home game of essentially a new era, and we play sloppy longball football. Its not like we tried to go forward and were stopped by an amazingly orginized villa side. the game plan we set out with was way too negative for the match. Believe or not our game plan wasn't negative. I think thats demonstrated by the fact that straight after the first whistle we drove forward and got a corner. It wasn't supposed to be a "negative" performance as you call it. Villa were very organsied and there wasn't a lot of space in midfield due to both teams playing 4 3 3. The midfield was far too crowded (not Big Sam's fault) for a game of open football and there wasn't much we could do about this, it was mainly down to Villa who were hardworking and organised. Don't forget they played very well at Liverpool last week, it's not as if we just failed to beat Derby or something. So many fans are giving knee-jerk reactions, after last week it was "we should be aiming for fifth", and now its "we can't even beat villa, we're a long ball team". Get a hold of yourself and give Sam the time he needs to do his thing.
  13. Harper - 6 - didn't have too much to do really, one very good save. Carr - 6 - Solid, although didn't offer much going forward Rozehnal - 7 - Very calm and played well, although sometimes he just needs to get the ball away Taylor - 5 - Wasn't great, looked quite uncomfortable at times N'Zogbia - 6 - Did okay defensively, should have used the space on the left better Milner - 7 - Tried hard to create, final ball wasn't great Smith - 6 - Covered the pitch well but nothing special Geremi - 6 - A little sloppy towards the end, poor set pieces Butt - 6 - Fine defensively but gave the ball away a lot Martins - 5 - No threat at all, I'm still worried by the way he runs with the ball...instead of just knocking the ball past a defender and running he seems to slow it down to walking pace and try and use clever footwork Viduka - 6 - Good work rate but looked a little isolated up front on his own. Villa defenders handled him well mind. Subs: Owen - No service Ameobi - ditto Cacapa - no time Overall it was a bit of reality check this one, there's still a lot to do. People shouldn't be too dissapointed though, Villa are a good side who played well at Liverpool last week. Both sides were well drilled and had a high workrate, there wasn't much space on the pitch.
  14. Sounds like more made up crap tbh. The Mail is really unreliable with transfer news. About the only paper which you can trust these days is the Times, pretty much everything they report seems to happen.
  15. It's just him thanking the Villareal fans and revealing his affection for them. He says Villareal is his home...it's just one big thank you basically, nothing new.
  16. Why would he want to come to Newcastle again? Doubt he will be interested. This is very sad for Patrick because at his prime, he was one of the best players i have ever witnessed. You're asking completely the wrong question. Why would WE want him back here again? Depends who "WE" is. But if you take into consideration some of the things he said after parting with Newcastle, you would realize how slim the chances are of him coming back here, when people look back on Patrick's great career it will be Newcastle who are going to be remembered as the club who killed his career, which is very sad really. WE as in newcastle united. No one in their right minds would take a risk on this guy at the moment, certainly not a club like us who already have a good strike force. Hence, my point, why would we want him back here, its not a case of him not wanting to come here. Also, we're not going to be remembered as the club who killed his career, the guy was finished as soon as he left Barcelona. They let him go for a reason...because he was an injury prone, overpaid player who was never going to cut it at the top level again.

    "Fatty" Carr

What do you base these thoughts around? Some decent performances against the likes of Carlisle, Hull City, a weak Celtic side, a dissapointing Juve side, and a reserve Sampdoria side? If so, I'll agree with you when he tames the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, or Gamst Pedersen, players of this class. When it comes down to it, we just cannot rely on carr when we play not only the big teams, but any team with a reasonably talented winger. I don't really think Carr is good enough as a first choice right back either but you've stated your point in a rather odd way. First off, it wasn't a reserve Sampdoria side or a weak Celtic side and he did actually put in decent performances against decent teams. Problem is, these are pre-season matches where not everyone is playing at full pelt. Also, how many right backs out there can "tame" Cristiano Ronaldo?

    "Fatty" Carr

If he stays fit then he might (just) be good enough back-up for the right back spot.
  20. Either Sanchez, Hutchings or Lee. I think all three have been poor in the transfer market and will struggle. Not only are their players not up to scratch but their managers are all pretty uninspiring as well.

    Kieron Dyer

I don't give a flying f*** about Dyer himself although I am worried that if he doesn't get sold it will affect us signing more players. Hopefully, him not being sold won't mean a smaller budget. Not to mention his wages....
  22. I'd rather buy a real midfielder and get some defenders tbh. He's both a midfielder and a striker. Just like Smith it's the versatility that appeals, except Gudjonsen has a lot more ability.
  23. Would rather add 2million and get Gudjonsen
