  1. The only thing Keegan has been doing over the last few days is making sure he isn't out of pocket by leaving. He's managed to persuade the club to pay him all his wages despite resigning has he? Do me a favour, go and take a walk on the highway with your eye's closed. It's been well documented that he'd have to pay the club compensation if he walked out, you can bet he's been negotiating his way out of it. Anyway, I've seen your post about not supporting the club anymore so it was nice knowing you, people like yourself won't be missed. Still think your DOF bollocks works ? Yes, just not with bottlers like Keegan. we'd better get David Gill or someone at ManU buying players above Alex Fergusons head then . See what he does. Man Utd is the perfect structure imo. Fergie employs coaches, physios, nutritionalists etc. He takes no active part in training but directs tactics etc which are implemented by his coaches. He is then involved in identifying talent at all ages the lets Gill et al do the negotiating. Fergie becomes invovled to seal the deal only or where it is a massive signing to show the intent of the club. He also gets involved in which kids are retained by the academy.
  2. I'm totally convinced its this guy. Jiminez got Ramos to leave Sevilla for Spurs and will have little problems coaxing a guy from the Spanish second division to a Premier League team. Half our team are now Spanish speaking and he'll have support from the unholy trinity- something i think KK never had. Just this summer didn't he say that he wouldn't leave Spain until his son finishes school
  3. They can fuck right off with that shite as well! We don't want, nor do we need a shitty director of football when we had someone perfectly capable of signing his own players and creating a good team ffs. You know what, for all his faults at least Freddy faced the media when he got rid of managers
  4. I've posted before that my boss knows Ashleys chief purchaser for Sports Direct. Now he's left, but I'm seeing him tomorrow. Any messages to pass on? I'm passing a note simply saying. 'Do the decent thing, sell up now'. I'm still supportive of the way he wanted the club to go in, but he's fucked it all up and lost the 2 most important assets the club has/had. Keegan and the fans
  5. Tried posting that myself. Young, growing reputation, great in the transfer market at his current level (relevant?) and Swansea play the right way
  6. From what KK said it seems that the new boys didn't come to play for Keegan
  7. Ahhh fuck it. After today Come on you Indians!!
  8. Or the DOF picks the manager. Would you be happy with Wise picking our next manager. Yes, between him and Jimenez I think they would come up with a bright young manager, Jimenez was the one who took Ramos to Spurs after all. When you get past the hate people have against Wise from his playing days, his opinion on a potential manager would be worth more than that of someone who sells cut price clothing, a casino manager or a scrap man. who is the scrap man ? Fred
  9. You will have to go a long way back to find the last training session Ferguson took at Man Utd. Thats why we have coaches
  10. Some papers are saying he is in the United States but they may well be stirring trouble again Holiday Barbados or States business, take your pick. I'll have the holiday thanks. When do I fly? Yesterday. God, Barbados looks a lot like East Manchester today

  12. And the nature of the buck this summer was a difficult one The lads he's brought in seem on first impressions to be just what we needed and have been delivered at a low cost - therefore well played Goggly Eyes. But I think most people would have liked to have seen a couple more bodies through the door - black mark Wisey. The player sales have all made sense imo, and only Milner would have been likely to see significant playing time this season. However, I do believe that players out of the door should always be down to the manager as he is the one who sees them day in and day out.
  13. Back to 4-3-1-2 for me. Given Beye - Colo - Taylor - Enrique/Zoggy (depending on the opposition) Jonas - Guthrie/Barton - Gonzales Owen X.I.S.C.O - Martins (was it Mick Martin who was known as Zico Martin btw?)
  14. O'Leary would do quite well at the dark place. He was doing ok at Leeds on a cheque book before the likes of Woodgate and Kewell becam perma crocks. Not as good as Keane, but he wouldn't be a massive step back for them
  15. There's a couple of major business problems with this theory: 1 - Its not the manager's money. 2 - The manager doesn't have the time to dedicate to scouting. 3 - Managers get invested in their own selections ... the new guy wants his own players in ... resulting in a clear out & total loss of value. 3 - You have to be able say NO if the player valuation is not right ... consider that our current admin. team may be having discipline in this area which has rarely been a feature of our recent spending. Bingo - we have a winner. Probably not what people want to read though so best ignore. Missed one problem. If the manager picks his team of Wise etc then there is a temptation to get a yes man - think Mick Wadsworth. I'm a big believer in healthy conflict, as long as it is a fair and open forum where nothing personal gets in the way of a good decision being reached. Everyone needs questioned, and this often brings the best results out of people.
  16. You would say that though wouldn't you what with your title and all!
  17. The role of the manager has been in the news recently due to Keegan and Curbishley. The ADU takeover at Citeh also had repurcussions for Hughes with the men behind the money bidding for all and sundry. So can this new environment work in the Premier League - it works to varying degrees of success - and consider the role of the most successful manger in England.. He doesn't take training, he only gets involved in player negotiations at the latter stages, he has a member of staff in place to do every job he wants. All he does is identify players, shape tactics and manage on a Saturday. In many ways a DoF role I would say (I'll give you that the Saturday activities fall outside a DoF remit).
  18. I'm not falling for that one again! if they can't get Keegan quitting right then I'll not hold my breath on Wise!
  19. Not about Newcastle but I've been worryingly entertained by Stan Collymore on Talksport tonight. He's not afraid to stray off the corporate line!
  20. Their 'sources' will probably have KK in the East End of London later this evening! Keegan told his friends he had been sacked, this got leaked to the media. Hardly shite journalism, they never 100% confirmed the news. some friends! Or calculated move by Kev
  21. Well he got cash from selling his shares so I reckon he's got a bit under the bed
  22. Said it yesterday Call a press conference Mike and Kev side by side Terry Mac brings in 2 pints of Broon Ale Synchronised downing of said pints Get up and leave
  23. So where does this end? There are 18 clubs in the Premierleague. Are they all going to be bought? What then happens to the 3 which are relegated? It will not end well for football in general
