Peacock and Bassong would be awesome. Peacock and Colo would be hairy

Why? Because the Spuds will magically "click" at some point this season? They're in just as much trouble as Bolton at least, tbh. Spurs have got better players and they will go on a run and get away from the bottom. They aren't going to get relegated while Bolton quite possibly could, although today's result will give them a massive lift. People have been saying this about Spurs all season. There is no reason to suggest that they will suddenly win 3 on the bounce to pull themselves out of trouble. Don't think they will go down unfortunately, but they will be at risk right to the last week or two along with 4 or 5 others

Undoubtedly you're correct, but I'm praising them for one thing they seem to at least be doing a good job at. I realise that goes against the grain on here. It is their job though, to sell players for as much as they can possibly get for them. I'll continue to judge them on how successful or not the football team is as that's all I care about really and at current they're not doing a very good job on that front. Its easy to sell good players like Milner and Given. Even NZogbia for all his personality flaws is a saleable commodity. £6-7m is about his value in todays market. The problem for Wise & Co will be when they have to sell Shola and Nolan to fund emergency repairs. Who are we going to sell to fund this summers spending. Assuming well be strengthening again in the summer. Martins? Jonas? Bassong? Beye? Duff, hed bring in at least £1.5m. Hadn't they agreed a £2.5m fee for Shola in the summer only for the Georide Boy (c Alan Oliver) to turn the move down? Not a bad fee for a player who had barely playerd due to injury for the best part of two years and was out of contract in a year

Journal 'sources': Newcastle offer £10m for Veloso
Colos Short and Curlies replied to Baggio's topic in Football
Only one paper has claimed they value him at £18 million, every other source says £12 million. £8m plus Insomnia and a gentlemens agreement with citeh to leave veloso alone if we sell them given i suppose. Hughes won't like that suggestion! -

Guthrie is 21 and if he anything about him he'll force his way into the team sooner or later We've had a very disrupted midfield this year. One plus with Nolan is that he and Guthrie have played together for a season and will have some sort of understanding already built in. -

Admin - is it not time to create a Ranger emoticon?

Thats stupd, Lua Lua should be just behind Krul, not just in front. otherwise that would be my first XXII as well. Wow depressing, 22 players and only a half dozen of them I would have start for us Got a better formation for ya. Ranger 1-0 Toon, (Ranger 5). Sent Off, (Ranger 6)

To be fair its not as if the club would imediately be able to get its hands on millions of pounds. As its a Friday you would be lucky to get clearance of funds by Monday so it may well be £400k today and £400k next week.

Colos Short and Curlies replied to KaKa's topic in Football
Aye. fuck owen half arse, frail son a a bitch who didn't deserve to be captain. Up to a couple of months ago I wouldn't have agreed with that. But once he released the statement saying he was waiting till the summer to decide on his future he should have been stripped of the armband -

A cheeky fiver on him to score the first goal on Sunday. He takes penalties doesn't he? -

They've just shown both Barton and Owen coming off against City on SSN. Barton looked seriously pissed off, chucking his boot down the tunnel and seriously pissed off. Owen trudged off looking 'oh well' Different characters I know but to me this was telling -

You get a lower level manager with a good record and lots of self confidence. Take a risk, if we go down, they'll have a better chance of coming up than Kinnear, and if we stay up, even better. If Kinnear stays, we'll be in this position in the Championship next season. If Messi-ah hadn't started that Martinez thread, who would you have suggested? I suggested Martinez weeks ago in this very thread iirc. If not here somewhere else. Now apologise. They've a decent chance of passing us on the way up, why would he leave them? Who else is there? tbh anyone bar a Swansea fan would jump ship in the position he's in. Shame he is a Swans legend and has a love for the club
-
Staying at a 1. Will do all the way. Can't see us finishing below all but 2 of Stoke, Boro, Mackems, West Brom, Hull, Pompey. Not to mention Sam will soon have his influence on the Blackburn players and Spurs could go either way still Man City could actually do us a massive favour if they gel quickly, we could do with them beating all around us
-
It's not as if Kinnear was a class manager with a decent record and we're just turning on him because of recent poor form. FFS. He was never good enough. Appointing hiim was a mistake from the start. Let's just get around to rectifying that before we're dead and buried. Who should we have got instead then bearing in mind the club was for sale? Can we follow the chain? Would the club PUBLICALLY been for sale had the bed sheet not had an airing?

Ketsbaia maybe, but there is no way Martinez would leave Swansea unless its a permanent deal and even then I think he would stay at the Swans until the summer - longer if they manage to sneak up
