Deco. Not very likely maybe, although he has said he will leave if Barca tell him too so you never know....... If we could also bring in Diarra I'd ship Emre or Butt too

Luque injury has lasted two years – Allardyce

Seriously wouldn't surprise me one bit. Its not difficult to not let an injury fully heal and for it to hamper you for a few years, even relatively minor ones like a sprained ankle can twinge for a long time. A hamstring tear now, a twinge from that could play on your mind and subconciously knock a percentage off your performance -
Players that could (should?) have been great?

Les Ferdinand Only 2 seasons at a 'top' team Stayed too long at QPR then injuries did him too early -
Yobo is worth £7m imo, at least you know you are getting a more than competant Premier League CB. For all anyone knows any of the foreign players could be another Boumsong, of course they could be another Stam. Paying to reduce the risk, would be the same with someone like Riise

Joorabchian and MSI wanted by Interpol for money laundering.

Unfortunately that can only happen if West Ham own Tevez As much as I'd love to see Man U docked points, for the greater good its better if MSI win this one and West Ham are forced to bend over and receive willingly -
Maybe the Bowyer-Gypsie curse wives tale had some truth to it after all!

Another statement (Spanners) http://www.football365.com/story/0,17033,8652_2599959,00.html Interesting bit (for me anyway) "It is absolutely clear that the only contract relating to Carlos Tevez recognised by West Ham and the Premier League is the player's four-year contract which runs until June 2010. All other arrangements were terminated by West Ham on 27th April 2007 and no legal challenge to that termination has occurred." So West Ham terminated the contracts, not both parties. Not sure how long MSI have before they 'accept the contract through actions (ie not suing etc)' but it seems dodgya s feck for West Ham if that is what happened -

In the reports you get two figures: (1) Profit pre trading (which is what a normal business would class as profit) (2) Profit after player trading (net buys and sales) - this is specific to sports clubs (and football in particular) To give it a personal slant, (1) would be what you or I pay out each year for our mortgages, car loans, credit card bills etc (2) Would show the value of your purchases So if you bought a new house for £200,000 and a car for £20,000 and had a salary of £20,000 (of which you pay £5,000 for your house and £5,000 for your car): (1) Shows a net 'profit' of £10,000 (2) Shows a 'loss' of £200,000 (this is very simplified accountancy btw so isn't 100% accurate but it gets the picture across!) -

Ok, I'll try and put this in laymans terms: Profit for a football club is calculated as basically Turnover - Wages - Running costs - Ammortisation Ammortisation is a paper exercise of spreading the cost of players of the length of their orignal contracts therefore has no bearing on the cash available for reinvestment i.e Turnover - Wages - Running Costs Spending money on players does not affect the annual profit at the time of purchase, however will in the future (for example if you spend £40m this summer on players on 4 years contracts profit will be lower by £10m next year). This does not however impact on the amount of cash you have to reinvest next summer. Hope that helps, bit difficult putting it into prose, crap at that sort of stuff -

Whilst I agree with the crux of the post, don't forget that these high value signings carry high value wages which will need to be met even if the club goes down. its a risky approach, but probably a necessary one -
Does the stupid fucker not know what the word literally means or something? Has he ever written an article where he hasn't mentioned himself in any way? The man must have an ego the size of Freddy Shepherd's. Anyone else noticed that Alan Oliver is the spits of the bloke from Rainbow
