Top ITK is saying Bentley to Newcastle, Keane no to Brum (wants to stay in London), Beckham definitely in (to Spurs) and Walker to Villa. Just passing on, I know nothing more than that.

I'm not ITK but those that are are saying Newcastle, Villa, Fulham and Blackburn are are talking to his agent, Spurs haven't had a firm bid from any club. Pretty much what Sky are saying except that West Ham are not an option and a loan is not out of the question.

I don't believe Spurs are seriously trying to buy Carroll now. Levy doesn't want to pay £25m+ for a player with so little experience, even if he does have massive potential. Levy wants a cheaper option like Wickham. Chelsea are more likely to bid for Carroll to replace Drogba than Spurs imo.

Walker was the one we wanted, Sheff Utd wanted to get Naughton added into the deal, don't know the full details why. Buying Naughton as well as loaning Walker back to Sheff Utd was the easiest way to achieve the main aim, signing Walker. As Naughton only effectively cost £1m there was no real likelihood that we would lose money. Seems like Naughton will be going to Leicester for £1.5m. Are you hearing yourself? What on earth are you on about? Spurs wanted to sign Walker from Sheff Utd. Sheff Utd would only do a double deal including Naughton as well. Spurs bought both, will be offloading Naughton leaving them with Walker, the original target. Not that difficult really.

Can't see Newcastle matching Brum's offer. It's said to be £7m. Unbelievable if true.

Aye they need some experience We pulled him out of QPR so that he can get PL experience. Villa are happy to provide it. Woodgate wants to go on loan to Leeds, Spurs want him to go to QPR.

Keane is looking increasingly likely to go to Brum. Gio would be an option to add to Bentley plus cash for Carroll. That said, Carroll is the 3rd choice back up option, the first two are abroad. I don't expect Spurs to sign Carroll and I don't expect Spurs to sign either of the first two options either.

Disgusting! The tapping up of Pienaar isn't beginning. Apparently, the only point at issue now is whether he joins in January for a small fee or in the summer for nothing.

Spurs are. Why am I not surprised? Think you and Everton are the only two clubs. Arsenal as well. They need the money after losing a fortune on the Highbury Flats sale. The property crash came at the wrong time for them. Shame.

why do i get the feeling it has less to do with half the managers in the league wanting beckham and more to do with accountants counting the amount of beckham shirts that could be sold and other money making chances using beckham Aye thats about the jist of it,whatever club gets him will make some serious cash on the commercial side. Do you really think that so many people would buy a Beckham shirt? He'd be at their club only for 3 months or so. I don't think Spurs going after Beckham has much to do with shirts. AEG is one of Beckham's sponsors, they are the main investors in LA Galaxy and they are also Spurs' partners in their bid to take over the Olympic stadium. As taking the Olympic site is about £150m cheaper than redeveloping WHL, I think getting Beckham is more about getting that done than time on the pitch/selling shirts/raising the club's profile/being a presence on the training ground. Don't know what the other clubs reasoning would be but they are my thoughts on Spurs' reasoning.
