Woohoo!!!! Big name signing for Spurs http://www.soccerladuma.co.za/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=6989:khumalo-to-join-spurs-&catid=6:local&Itemid=129 SuperSport are one of Spurs' partnership clubs and he has been on trial for the past week. Fee would have been around £1m if the quoted figure is correct.

Season long loan with an option to buy is what I've heard. RK has no objections apparently but he won't be going anywhere until there is a replacement signed. Fabiano - will make the move but Seville wanting silly money. Huntelaar - Talks for a season long loan with an option to buy are ongoing. Huntelaar has reservations. Adebeyor - Citeh playing the same record that they did when we wanted Bellers. So nothing imminent but could change quickly depending on if anyone comes in.

According to? Journo at the Sun. Not saying it's likely or not, just saying contact has been made. It's the same fella that called Modric to Spurs ( the only one to call that tbh).

Got to the UEFA QFs (i think a while back) then got cheated by Sevilla's ref and got knocked out in the round of 16 the year after by PSV / Gomes. FYP. 1-0 up at theirs and cruising, then the ref gave them an absolutely pathetic penalty. We've actually done all right in Europe - so much so that if Bremen hadn't scored that injury time winner we'd have been seeded in pot 2. I wasn't at all fussed about who we got and I think most Spurs fans are the same. Arsenal got third in their first Group stages and that's what I'd expect us to get. Any better would be fantastic and even if we only manage fourth, as long as we play well and don't get gubbed then I'll be happy. It's just great to be there. As someone said on a Spurs forum, all we've heard from Arsenal and Chelsea (and West Ham etc) has been "You won't beat us. You won't get 4th. You won't make the Group Stages. You won't win in the Group Stages... BEEP BEEP BEEP! Watch out people, Gooners are reversing...". Of course we want to do well, but for pretty much every Spurs fan I know, everything we get from now is a bonus.

Hughton seeking Robbie Keane on loan.

He's nee Martin Woods though. ----- Not sure why Pletikosa has gone to Spurs. Seems like a strange move with Spurs having 2 capable goalies already. Could easily get first team football elsewhere. There's rumour that Cudicini may go to Boro but personally I doubt it, we need 3 keepers just in case, Gomes is good but a total wimp. Pletikosa has been injured for over a year and CC had his bike smash. Alnwick is a total waste of space.

I agree. For Champs League, I think Manure and Chelsea are locks, Arsenal would be a huge surprise for them not to make it, Man Shitty and Spuds for the last spot. If Spurs qualify for the CL this season I think the extra games will really start to take their toll on the squad, particularly at CH. They're going to be playing every 3 or 4 days and they're going to pick up injuries and suspensions too. Can see them slipping out of it a bit unless the droopy-eyed prick signs another couple of players. I think they'll finish about 6th. Being widely said in the press that we're in for Fabiano and Lassana Diarra if we win on Wednesday. Probably took it off the forums, it's been there for the best part of 2 weeks. Also being said Cudicini is talking to Boro.

those will cost even just on the wage front so apart from keane whos at the front of the que to the door out of whl? Loads will be shipped out imo. Keane Pav Bentley Jenas Hutton O'Hara Gio All in danger imo. I think they've said Dos Santos will stay, and for good reason, he's been impressive all summer. Players always impress when they're looking to move on. I'd be very surprised if GDS will still be at Spurs by the end of the window. Italy would be my guess for his destination.

Might some good deals to be had if Real go ahead with their clear out. http://www.sport.co.uk/news/Football/42413/Bernabeu_stars_told_We_need_to_lighten_the_squad.aspx Real Madrid have put a host of Premier League clubs on red alert after admitting they must trim their squad ahead of the new season. The La Liga giants will not jettison any of their Spanish contingent but a number of their squad players face an uncertain few weeks before the window closes as Jose Mourinho assesses which of his galaxy of stars to sell. Rafael Van der Vaart could be one of the most high-profile departures from the Bernabeu despite his recent pledge to stay and fight for his future, with Manchester United, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal all being linked with 27-year-old over the last 18-months. Others being linked with exits in Spanish publication Marca, are Mahamadou Diarra, Fernando Gago and Lassana Diarra following the recent captures of Sami Khedira and Mesut Ozil. Last January Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal were believed to be coveting Van Der Vaart, with Gunners star Robin Van Persie urging Arsene Wenger to move for his compatriot, and although the link has since gone quiet, a cut price move for the former Ajax prodigy may be in the offing following the untimely injury sustained by Samir Nasri. Likewise Tottenham Hotspur have struggled to bring players into the club, having missed out on Joe Cole and recently Craig Bellamy, and the Holland international could be available for as little as £8 million. Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is another admirer of Van der Vaart and has previously been linked with Lassana Diarra. Real Madrid’s general manager told Marca: “We have 26 players right now, so we need to lighten the squad and it will happen in the coming days. “This position does not affect the Spanish players currently on our books.”

Are these just 'these players would be good', or are there actual reports of 'interest' I've missed? It was said on Spurs Community that Newcastle had enquired about Hutton's situation and if he was available. That's as far as it's got. I would guess that Hughton has made lots of similar enquiries.

Spurs shirt for Cup competitions http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b352/chrissivad/Investec.jpg Also talking about the naming rights for the new stadium apparently ................... if it ever gets planning permission.

Aston Villa appoint Alex McLeish as new manager

Sounds like it. Hadn't hinted about resigning before MON went. -
Yes, Dean's delighted! N'Zogbia's handed in a written transfer request apparently. Presumably been tapped up by somebody.
-
Dean Parrett gone on a season long loan to Plymouth to join up with fellow Spurs youngster David Button.
-
Andros Townsend going on a season long loan to Ipswich.
-
From what I've seen of him playing for Inter in the Copa Libertadores I think Sandro will quickly become a fixture ahead of either Huddlestone or Palacios. Inter won the first leg of the Final 2-1, think they'll win it and Sandro comes over a couple of days after that.

City are adopting an 'anyone but Spurs' attitude, can't blame them, I'd want Spurs to do the same if we were in their position. Bellamy's agent says CB's first choice is Spurs but wouldn't be unhappy about Celtic if that could be arranged, preferable to either Blackburn or Bolton.

So sad, that's no age at all. RIP

5 Live said large bets have gone on Southgate. Hope he gets it ............ -
Fabulous player. I'd have absolutely no reservations about Arteta being part of an England overhaul. Controversial (Parky, don't kill me), but I'm throwing that one out there. The Home Nations have an agreement between themselves that they won't select players that are only eligible by residency.

Decimal point in the wrong place . Also, Bostock to Hull on a season long loan.
-
I don't think it was a bad mistake selling him, I don't think he is anywhere near consistent enough to be a success in the PL in the foreseeable future. He might develop a footballing brain sometime and if he does he'll be good for someone. What surprised me was the fee, which even with a 30% sell-on apparently in place, is so un-Levy like. Remy talking to Spurs and Wham next week. Stoke forums are saying their talks didn't go well.

Adel Taarabt moving to QPR permanently this week.

Braga's 3rd goal is on Myspace now. One helluva free kick.
