    Sunderland...

That Collymore goal - 'One of my favourite moments as a football supporter' Only to be told it wasnt the best by a long shot, that honour goes to 'The SAFC fans celebrating, just as a penalty was awarded against them at Prenton Park. And the baffled and bemused Tranmere fans. Now THAT was a great moment' Dear God they are wankers Particularly amusing that many of the posts in that thread are on Christmas day for fuck sake.
  2. So Senegal's games are on the 21st, 25th and 29th of January, so he'd miss Fulham away, any potential 4th round FA cup tie & probably Blackburn away (1st Feb). Potential Senegal quarter final would be on the 4th Feb which would rule him out of Villa at home, and if they make the final he'd miss Spurs away. Knowing our luck we'll be out the cup by then so he wouldn't play for us again until February 25th
  3. Had a quick browse of RAWK and many of them want Spearing in for Adam. Doesn't seem to be a joke either?
  4. That 1-0 win in the league cup, Steve Watson's mazy run and 25 yard chip Ridiculous. No wonder we've not won there since. Williamson had a shitter against Suarez back in May or whenever it was but the whole team except Jonas were pretty shite that day. Hopefully we can give them a better game this time and maybe even get a result
  5. No games today as far as I'm aware. Are you fucking mental? Most of them were on Sky
  6. WHAT!? I was actually planning to watch it. The fuck!?
  7. Been to blame for quite s few goals this season. Yep, certainly not the keeper he once was. I can honestly say in Cech's entire time in England I've yet to see him have a good run of games. I could have kept goal for Chelsea under Mourinho, they were toight like a toiger.
  8. Tony Pulis: The bit in bold makes me laugh, looks so simple written in text
  9. What did he say? Had a pop about not being impressed at the question and how he won't be talking to Gabi about as he's a professional footballer. Cheers Skirgey
  10. I wish your ITK's would bring us good news
  11. It was. Bo Hansen wasn't much good between the sticks.
  12. Pardew looked a bit broken like, worrying. All starting to unravel
  13. Fuck me that was frustrating. One of those fucking nights where nothing went right for us and everything went right for them. We've had absolutely no luck whatsoever since the Everton win, nothing dropping for us, hitting the post left, right and centre. Still, too many players were shite tonight and this slide needs to be stopped before it is too late. Lose to Bolton and we're looking at no win in 9 with Liverpool and Man Utd on the horizon. Krul - Kicking is atrocious. No idea what he did for the 2nd goal as he seemed to vanish. Simpson - Meh Santon - Was a bit slow to support Jonas on occasion first half but if he was carrying a knock then that explains it. Actually a footballer, which helps. Coloccini - Was like a flashback to 2008 where anybody with the slightest bit of pace left him for dead on numerous occasions. Not helped by the defensive line being ridiculously high. Perch - When he plays we usually concede at least 3. Coincidence? Was actually decent and made no obvious errors but no understanding between him and Colo. Tiote - Awful tonight. Did nothing right all night. Vuckic - Promising, such a mighty wallop. Jonas - Tried I guess but not as good as he could be. Obertan - Won a free kick but for some reason only moves in diagonals, like a bishop. Ba - Took his goals well and was great running with the ball but doesn't get on the end of Best's various knockdowns, don't know if that's Best's fault or Ba's. Solution is not to lump the ball long. Best - Not a goal threat but won his fair share of flicks. Ben Arfa - actually moves and looks for the ball. Sometimes does too much but I'd rather have someone try and fail than just pass it square all night. Can see why Pardew won't start him out wide as he doesn't work particularly hard off the ball. Good ball in which Tiote forced a good save from Foster from. Shola - Came on and played...somewhere. Ryan Taylor - Nothing to say, not very good. Referee was beyond abysmal, in the last 5 minutes alone he missed a blatant block on Ben Arfa, Jonas getting chopped down and Ba being held from a goal kick. Just shit all night. Was brilliant when their right back was being a cunt just off the touchline, rolled on to try and get treatment and slow the game down, got told to get off and then we equalised. Stupid cheating cunts.
  14. Shouldn't the yellow line go through the last defender?
  15. Bloody hate playing Hodgson teams (Liverpool aside ) They will come for 0-0 and they'll probably bloody get it. Hate Olsson as well, he'll probably knack Demba and elbow someone in the face.
  16. Ahh remember when Sven played Elano at right back. Good lad.
  17. If they're fucked financially and nobody wants to buy chicken they'll have to sell him. The owners seem the type that would be impressed by Alan Smith's superstar appearance, so maybe we could swap him off in the process.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

My theory on the lack of Ben Arfa is that we're going to need him in January when Ba & Tiote go off to the African Nations. As has been pointed out, we've had most of our success this season in a regular 4-4-2, and Ben Arfa's injury pre-season was the catalyst to change to this. With Ba establishing himself as the main striker, it's apparent that Ben Arfa off Ba hasn't worked that well, one or two decent moments at City aside. What we've also seen is that Pardew has played Ben Arfa off Shola on a few occasions, and also with Best for half an hour against Blackburn when the game was up. These have brought Ben Arfa's more effective performances arguably, and so once whilst Pardew will doubtless look to give him some minutes here and there, he's being cautious not to wreck him after so long out when he will be needed in January - as if Ben Arfa gets crocked now, we'll be looking at Shola & Best in January, or Lovenkrands, and nobody wants that. Whereas Ben Arfa off a target man could be very useful, and hopefully more effective than Ben Arfa off Ba, who likes to drop off a bit.
  19. New torture for following a match is listening to Absolute Radio. Absolutely no crowd volume picked up
  20. I like Cabaye but he's not bossed many games, certainly hasn't looked good enough for one of the top sides. Still settling in of course.
  21. See they've recalled Stockdale, sucks to be Paul Jewell
  22. Us vs WBA is going to be like a shootout
