  1. This will be one of those games that shows the state of the players minds. We'll either lose 3-0 in a gutless show or we'll win 1-0 and they'll have a group wank on the pitch after a great team performance. Let's wait and see.
  2. # Ireland is not a striker and Pardew wants to play with two strikers. # He hasn't played well in a 4-4-2 as a central midfielder before and is more an attacking midfielder. # It won't do him any good playing him on the wing. He's a central attacking midfielder in a 4-5-1 formation. I hope he can adapt well here. To play with two strikers you need two strikers. We've got one who's not fit and the rest are substandard. So 4-5-1 won't necessarily be a bad thing. I agree with you and we maybe should play a 4-5-1 with Ireland in it, but... Pardew want to play with two strikers in a 4-4-2. We have Carroll, Ameobi, Best, Lövenkrands, Ranger, Xisco... So, if Pardew want to play an attacking 4-4-2 with two natural strikers, where should Ireland play? Maybe he only wanted to play 4-4-2 because of the personnel he had when he said that?
  3. and your point is? Lost on you, it would seem. Evidently. I was talking about on the pitch stuff you retort by posting a video of off the field stuff. You'd have better off talking about him punching MGP. So being a "dirty bastard" applies only to on the field activities? Kicking the crap out of some random bloke in the middle of the street doesn't qualify? OK then, fair enough. Sunderland haven't had a single player recieve a red card this season for dangerous play/violent conduct this season though, whilst Newcastle have (off the top of my head) received four. Therefore I don't see the point your trying to make in labelling two of our players "dirty bastards". You had the worst discipline in the whole league last season, you even got a fine for it IIRC. We're making a good go of it this year mind, granted. Didn't super Niall get done for drink driving? Least our lads just drive 70 in a 30 or whatever Nolan did [/pointless fishing]
  4. Hadn't his lass just lost their baby, and he was trying to keep it under wraps. Could be wrong like. Aye but...why didn't he just say that? It's a perfectly valid reason to drop out of a squad IMO.
  5. Can't wait till his home debut. 50000 cheers when his name's announced and you sitting there going "boooooo bring back Geremi"
  6. Didn't Dunne pin him down whilst his Irish team mates tried to pull off his hairpiece?
  7. Don't really follow this .... what do you mean by players like that? Big fat party animals
  8. Well as long as baldness isn't a disease everything's cool.
  9. Makes sense, they'll get a bigger crowd on a Saturday/Sunday than they would on a Tuesday. Also weekends with no Newcastle game make me a sad pande, so howay the Sky Blues

    Out the Door

It's in the echo, dread to think of the euphoria on here if he scores goals out on loan.
  11. They do. That's why James Vaughan couldn't join Celtic, he had an option of Palace or Palace as they'd loaned him earlier this season.
  12. Phil Neville is cover for every single position
  13. I see they couldn't train anybody to use Gray's wacky gadgets in time
  14. But BBC RADIO STOKE said otherwise. You can't argue with the pros
  15. Probably "When you're gone" by Avril Lavigne
  16. Crouch vs Williamson in "who can be the flimsiest big man" will not be a contest for the purist.
  17. Where would they play Pienaar? Probably wouldn't come in for Lennon and certainly not Bale...unless they move Bale to left back?
  18. Carroll sat on the bench against west ham in a tracksuit. Most of the squad travel together, what do you expect him to wear? A tux?
