It'd be nice to get paid on time if nothing else.

Suspect it's more likely the three clubs in a season rule, tbh. Who knows. He didn't even make an appearance in the cups, man, so there's definitely something up. Well even still, who signs a player and goes "woah hold on there, if we play him, we can't sell him, better hold fire on that one. £2m well spent boys." Granted they probably realised 2 or 3 weeks after he signed that they were fucked and then decided not to play him, but still.
-
It's still fucking stupid. You're telling me the deal was £x up front and the rest paid if he makes one league appearance? No wonder they're financially fucked.
-
His Leicester supporting flat mates saw him in training and he was shit.
-
Will be lucky if he's signed by Friday 29th let alone tomorrow
-
That's it aye.

They have. Good Ronaldo impression. They've never won in the league, I think is the stat. They've won cup games with him.
-
Tried hard to get him in the summer supposedly, presume this is a loan?

Was talking to my Norwich supporting friend the other day about him, said he had excellent communication, shot stopping and handling - likened him to Schmeichel Whilst that might be a bit much, it's good to hear he's getting rave reviews.

Someone change the thread title from March to Feb, or confusion will reign

I'm in, midfield or attack on whatever team wants me

I'd say the definites if fit are Krul, Kadar, Butt, Pancrate & Carroll. Probably Ranger too. Plus 5 assorted others - probably R Taylor, Coloccini, Simpson, Guthrie and...Smith. Would rather Kazenga or any other midfielder with working legs got a game but that's not how we roll. -
It was a moved postponed game I think. Yeah, the one tonight was originally meant to be played back in August, but because of Arsenal's Champions League qualifier it got put back to the beginning of January. Then snow happened, so it got put back again to this week.

The guy on the end of their wall - Mulumbu? He ducked ffs I'd be going mental at him today if I was Di Matteo

The end of the year is 11 months away. If they sold players now and go down they've got no chance. If they hang on until June and somehow stay up then they have a chance, I guess.

The majority of people I spoke to pre-match in the pub said the same thing - play 4 in midfield with Nolan off Shola or Carroll tonight to stop WBA over-running us. If so many fans can see it, why can't Hughton? Nolan is a disgrace in a 4-4-2, yes he scores goals every now and again but as a central midfielder he needs to be contributing for more than 30 seconds of a game.

Fantastic game to watch, the neutrals must have loved it. Frustrating how easy it was for WBA to break from the back, too many players played shite tonight but everybody expected their central 3 to run rings around Smith and Nolan and that's exactly what happened. Harper - Did ok, was unlucky with their 2nd goal where the rest of the team were snoozing Simpson - Stood off Thomas all night, he didn't know what to do really, if he dived in he'd get skinned and if he stood off it invited pressure. Got minimal help from Guthrie Enrique - Not one of his best evenings, lots of misplaced passes but gets an assist for Lovenkrands' goal. Taylor - Solid for me, didn't do much wrong considering it was 7 on 4 a lot of the time. Coloccini - Same as Taylor really Nolan - Shite. Just lacks the athleticism to compete against younger, quicker players. Couldn't even lace the chance he had shortly after it went 2-2. Smith - His poorest game for a while, passing was all over the place and was overran time and time again. Guthrie - Great free kick, did ok in general play but not fantastic by any means. Jonas - Usual, lots of running and working, no end ball. Must have been fouled 10+ times. Lovenkrands - Looked lively, looking for flicks that never came from Shola, good header for the goal but Carson...dear me. Shola - Shola of old tonight, was just shite. Opening 15 he looked a handful but once he didn't get one or two decisions he was more bothered about tussling with their centre half than getting the ball. Still can't time his jump for headers. Having just seen the highlights, couldn't be arsed to stick with Olsson. Just lazy. Carroll - Won plenty, no direction. R Taylor - Came on and thought "I'll show Simpson, I'll get straight into Thomas" and got skinned. Few decent set pieces though. So a point gained in the end, although we could have nicked all 3. I can see why they're so good on the road, probably a bit like Villa in the respect that when they play at home it's harder to hit teams on the break. A lot of decent players in their side who can pass all day long, if they find a consistent formula at home then I'd back them all the way to go up. It's up to us to make sure we go with them. And finally, stupid anecdote. Two lads turned up to sit in front of us 25 minutes into the game. The first thing they saw was Guthrie score the free kick. They then spent 20 minutes chanting, standing, clapping and generally being pissed that they weren't sitting in level 7. Then the female steward told them to sit down and they left, saying they won't be back. So they paid £25 each to watch 20 minutes of football. Nice one

He's injured, had a big injury coming into the season, played in the ones where he was fit then got injured again.

Well he's a cunt then

Dave, do you have a problem with math? We play 38, halfway the tournament is week 19. If we win today, we'll be 5 over real after 18 games. So whatever happens next week, we'd be top. I understand that, it's the repeated insinuation on Sky that after this game they've already reached the halfway point. It's daft. They're saying if they win today they will be top at the half way stage, as they can't be caught. They're not saying after tonight they've reached half way.

Don't know about anyone else this year but I've found myself feeling like Sven, when we score I celebrate still but nowhere near as much as I should/would if we were in the top division. At first I was happy to be out of the Premiership glitz and Sky shite, but after 5 months of scraping around for 30 second highlights I want to be back in the big time as soon as possible. I wouldn't count it as a trophy, I'd be reluctant for any parade and I just want to get it over with. Seeing players such as Nolan, Coloccini, Smith & Butt celebrating going back up when they were big reasons we went down wouldn't fill me with a great deal of joy - for me, if we do win the league or even go up, that puts this lot back on par, which isn't something worth celebrating.
