Yeah but if you take somebody out they lose their points. So it's not that much of a benefit really. So basically, if I pick Ledley King in my first 11 and he goes off injured after 5 minutes, I can sub him the following day for someone who I think will collect more than 1 point.

It would be Heskey wouldn't it, poor bloke must be the least popular man in the squad in terms of selection and then he endears himself by taking out the captain. He was probably aiming for Glen Johnson but you know what Heskey's accuracy is like.

I used to think we were strong at centre back, but Upson's been out of form recently and King was all over the place against Mexico and is made of glass, Carragher is over the hill and shit and Dawson is unproven at international level.

I'd rather have the best out of Rooney (i.e. play Heskey) than have an international non-entity (Bent) in there. Whether Bent should have had more of a chance in earlier games is another matter but the World Cup is not the place to fuck around. However, I'd have taken Adam Johnson, which probably makes me a hypocrite - but he's the only left footed winger in the 30 and I think that'd be quite useful I'm also happy that SWP and J Cole are going ahead of Walcott, sense IMO.

You've got to think though, Portugal have Brazil in their group and therefore will probably go through 2nd and have a harder 2nd round tie. I'd leave it as you have it with France rightly replacing South Africa as top seeds.

I imagine it'd be a dream for students, but the harsh reality is most of us would be at work and the tournament would largely pass us by. Although I think it'd be similar to when the F1 is on in Australia and the game is just replayed "as live" at a more sociable hour.

Schmeichel is ok, but they need an awful lot of (better) players to go up with ease. He kept 20 plus clean sheets. Ok is a bit of an understatement, Premier League clubs were looking at him to be fair mate. To join in, also when he played a few games a couple for seasons ago for City he looked good. He did for the first 4 or 5 games under Sven, then they conceded a lot and many were his fault and he was dropped.
