  1. Are you in a different time zone?
  2. Not a bad performance, a good sign that we didn't get outplayed when not at the very top of our game, a few months ago playing in 3rd gear like that would have seen us humped.
  3. We gave them four points. We only beat them 1-0 at home last week and were lucky. This season is going down the shitter, big style. We're picking up very nicely now. Young in the free role behind hte front two works an absolute treat. Oh FUCKING SHIT. There goes my 350 notes. Strictly speaking it was only 35 notes of £10, don't be so hard on yourself
  4. PFC: David James, Glen Johnson, Herman Hreidarsson, Sol Campbell ©, Sylvain Distin, Papa Bouba Diop, Sean Davis, Sulley Muntari, Niko Kranjcar, Nwanko Kanu, Jermain Defoe Subs: Lauren, David Nugent, Richard Hughes, Pedro Mendes, Asmir Begovic NUFC: Steve Harper, Habib Beye, Jose Enrique, Abdoulaye Faye, Steven Taylor, Nicky Butt, Geremi, Joey Barton, Oba Martins, Michael Owen ©, Mark Viduka Subs: Fraser Forster, Damien Duff, Alan Smith, David Edgar, Andy Carroll
  5. At least with Spurs we could say "they defend like tossers," don't really have that luxury here
  6. Haha you were clearly getting the bus from the bottom of CLS. Whoever put Coral there is a wanker, it's the obvious time waster when waiting for a bus. Would take a draw tbh, biggest test we've had since the recent transformation. If Diarra and Utaka are out that will be helpful.
  7. Fuckin hate David Wheater, Boro fan at Uni quipped that he was better than Woodgate, I spent a week taking the piss only for him to get called into the England squad. Fuck sake! I think Taylor and Senderos are both pretty poor, but I've seen Taylor have more good games than Senderos (law of averages, most likely)
  8. This is the problem when Crouch is on the pitch, too much of a tendency to just lump it high and long.
  9. Thing is, if you wait in the stadium till the end the announcer runs through the scores or they come up on the electronic board, hell even the National result did today. It's not as if it takes days to walk out or anything
  10. Complaining about the atmosphere, fuck me get a grip. Boils my piss that, I don't get to SJP as often as I should but fucking hell, the atmosphere was great today compared to what it has been over the last 3 years, just look at the reception Lamine fucking Diatta got for coming on in a dead game after 81 minutes. As for the fans that left after 80ish minutes, well pity for them, but they pay their money they can leave when they want, personally I always stay to the end but people like to beat the rush for whatever reason.
  11. Haven't seen a replay but there was one Reading guy who stayed in I'm almost certain, I was sitting right behind it/above it. Was a mess because everyone knew what was going to happen second time around
  12. Was a good game that, enjoyed it up in Level 7. Was worried when the teams were read out at first because either I became retarded or the announcer got it wrong because I'm sure Butt's name wasn't read out so I thought it was going to be Faye in defensive midfield, which I don't think he's mobile enough for in this formation. Anyway obviously that wasn't the case, Reading have one level of play that they keep up throughout every match and their results are entirely dependant on how the opposition play. Also it's not hard to see why they've conceded 6 and 7 a few times, they practically set up in a 4-2-4. First goal was so easy considering the opening 15, one ball from Butt (who was immense in my opinion) Martins basically walked it in, very composed finish aswell. Second goal was a relief for Owen considering the chance he'd missed a minute or two earlier was an absolute sitter. Second half we started amazing, 10 minutes of constant pressure and about a 15 pass move that resulted in a half hearted pen appeal. Third goal was more great work by Beye, him and Geremi link up really well down the right. Faye was carrying a knock from about 20 minutes in, didn't go up for corners or anything in the 2nd half so I hope he's ok, would be a big miss for us. Can understand Keegan leaving him on because Edgar and Diatta would have been a huge risk. Edgar did ok incidentally, one or 2 daft things but nothing major. Barton was great, him or Beye were the obvious MOTM candidates. Duff came on and tried to impress but pissed everyone off on one break where he had Owen unmarked to his right or Martins being covered by 2 to his left, guess which option he picked... I love the formation, Owen has flourished coming from deep, Martins is very suited to it and it's made Barton and Butt excel. Don't know if it would work against the top sides or in many away games (next week will be interesting, for example) but the signs are very good.
  13. In what way are they in better shape than us going into next season? They win 2 games and they think they're European contenders or something.
  14. I think Viduka had a thigh problem, hopefully he'll be fine because if he's out I fear Smith will be brought in
  15. Only the most intelligent callers get on 606. Guy from Buckinghamshire Spoony: Where is that? Caller: ABout 20 miles outside of the first trophy winners of the season Spoony: ....what? Caller: MK Dons of course Spoony: Errr, what about Spurs?
  16. http://www.readytogo.net/smb/showthread.php?t=318829 Flat mate sent me that thread link at 1-0 down, enjoyable reading the first 2 pages now if nothing else
  17. Yeah we were shit. Suppose he said Berbatov was good and Robinson is the best keeper in Europe. Bitter cunts, I love it.
