Santon ends up being the winger and the full back when he's partnering Jonas. He's currently in very bad form and has seemingly lost the only thing he really had going for him: pace. He's no use in the team now and he either needs to lose some weight, become as thin as when he joined or just get to work in the gym on his legs. Either way, he is a liability on the pitch both when we need a goal and when we need to defend one.

We always have a chance of winning games but I'd like to see us play good football once in a while, too. You know, like a complete 90 minutes once in a while. Even once a season will do at this rate, but that ain't happening with Jonas as a left winger.

Yup. The sample size is too large for it to be random variation. He's not good at in-game management, which means the team he starts with is even more important than normal. When you realise that and then see Jonas' name on the team sheet, it really does depress you.

I think Fifa on the x-box is teaching a generation that, as a rule, the team with the highest rating should always dominate teams with lower ratings, and it's unforgiveable when that doesn't pan out. These games are still struggling to recreate chaos. Of course the team with the higher rating should always dominate the team with the lower rating. Do you see Man Utd dropping deeper and deeper when they're ahead? No. They have better players, they dominate the match and try to score more. That's why they win so often. Funnily enough, they also win often on FIFA. Why do we always drop back to defend leads? Even against teams that everyone knows is worse than us. Why did we drop back against Reading? No big problems with the lineup. Perch for Anita is questionable but Cabaye and Sissoko will provide the creative spark. Taylor instead of MYM is also understandable. MYM will start every game from here on in. Jonas is done as a footballer but what are the other options? Sammy? I really don't know what else could be done with this position. We'll win.

I would rather Aubameyang than this bloke. I've seen neither but someone fast is more important to us. This guy looks slow in my Dennis Wise scouting attempt.

A player who wants to leave can still be a model pro. At least he's not posting on Twitter about the club holding him hostage or crying his eyes out in a press conference saying he wants to leave. He has been quiet and has gotten on with his life whilst trying to solve the situation professionally and quietly. What more can you expect?

How is there a lack of information? The guy has personal problems and he wants to leave. Why should you be privy to the exact nature of his problems? Do you expect that you or anyone else will be able to solve them for him if you were to know of its exact nature? He's been the best captain we've had for so many years. He's also the best defender I've ever seen at this club so he'll get a lot of leeway from me before I criticise him for his actions. He hasn't said a thing publicly which would rock the boat and he hasn't put the club's reputation on the line as well. He's acted like a true professional through all of this, keeping quiet and doing business behind closed doors, where it belongs. He's also played and trained as normal, another mark of a true professional. He deserves no criticism, even if he in the end he chose to leave.
